Gigs like this do present themselves like this too often. Election day, Tuesday, November 7, 2017 presents us voters, with off year elections for the Mayor of NYC, and, the Governors of NJ & VA. Not much hope for defeating the buffoon of NYC, Bill De Blasio, and a long shot in NJ...but the big fruitful, golden prize is just a grasp away in Virginia. We may even be winning in VA right now!!!
Casting your vote for Republican, Ed Gillespie, actually accomplishes three (3) positive things, it elects Gillespie, Governor, sets up Conservative Corey Stewart to soundly defeat, Democrat, Tim Kaine in the Senate Race of 2018 Mid-Term elections, and, most important, sends a strong political death knell message that the current Democrat Party is imploding itself to political death!!!
I can only say to the Republican/Conservative Voters of Virginia...you only get these once in a lifetime political opportunities rarely. You best take advantage of what is on your plate right now!!! Bottom line to victory...turnout, turnout, turnout...So, GOP, GOTV (Get Out The Vote) and win. Do it and turn Virginia Bright Red & MAGA!!! Go Gillespie and Go POTUS, Donald J. Trump!!!
It is not just the governor, but who rides on his coattails. Actual communists and jihadist sympathizers, as well as all gun grabbers, are counting on the Democrat.
Part of the strategy is not letting Trump govern as effectively as he would. Helping them with that are fake-Republican globalist haters of us little folk in the US Senate.

I was going to leave the governor ballet empty (I’m not a Gillespie fan) until northam put up that video. Now I’d rather see democrat heads explode in frustration.
If (and that’s a BIG “IF”) Gillespie wins, he needs to thank northam for the video, because it worked.

Unfortunately for the designers of the "coalition of the ascendant", the emerging POC coalition does not include them. Their self-hatred only goes so far.
If I were you I would not count on American Blacks supporting the Democrat Party like they once blindly did. They have gone through a “tough” eight years with Obama, the Congressional Black Caucus, the NAACP and, the entire Democrat Party at the helm, who actually made life worse for them in just about any parameter you apply.
Plus the demographics of “Blacks” has changed, and continues to change with every passing day. Being “Black” no longer means being “Black”. There is so much more interracial, ethnic, religion, etc., mingling between folks, that we are truly the melting pot of the world, Hispanic, Black, White, Asian, Middle Eastern, all together. The identity tag the Democrats have used so long has diminished greatly.
In addition....POTUS, Trump, Ben Carson, hundreds of “Black” Pastors & Ministers have banded together to really improve the lives and opportunities and equality for All Americans. The world in the USA is changing and, the Democrat Party has nary a clue!!! Stay tuned!!!
They have no ideas and are against every common sense proposal. They go after the weakest people in society for support. The media assists them regardless of their foolish agenda.
As I’ve noted before, whether people in Virginia like it or not (and one union guy here can’t stand it), this is a NATIONAL ELECTION. In other words this is a NATIONAL REFERENDUM on Trump, particularly if Gillespie loses, but also if he wins. Consider:
1) Hillary won Virginia by OVER 5 POINTS and Trump is ‘hated’ by the country (at least per the media). This election should be a Democrat blow-out, of at least 10 points, if not 15 points.
2) But if Gillespie wins, then the entire narrative that the Left and the media has been attempting simply goes out the door...and with that, the enthusiasm of the Left...it’s gone. The DNC is CRUSHED.
3) So Gillespie is RINO GOPe type. Big deal! It would be great to see the second coming of Reagan running for governor, but NO ONE, outside of perhaps 50,000 well-connected Republicans in Virginia will look at a Gillespie defeat as anything other than a REJECTION OF TRUMP...as that is exactly how the media will play it. So if some people here think they’re ‘teaching the Virginia GOP a lesson’ by letting the Democrat win, EVERY HEADLINE (and I mean every one) and EVERY NEWSCAST (and I mean every one) will say that TRUMP WAS REJECTED on Wednesday, should Gillespie lose.
Yes, in a perfect world, we’d find a clone of Reagan to run in Virginia, but there is a Primary process and Gillespie is who we got...and like it or not, Trump wins or loses with Gillespie.
They failed this time. But the bad guys are still fighting (and too often with rogue judges winning) to hijack elections.
I agree that the Dem lock on blacks is slowly loosening, and more blacks seem willing to ignore their bought-and-paid-for “leaders”; it is impossible to ignore how their plight has worsened. I believe immigration especially is one area where blacks feel abandoned by Democrats; they can see in their dying areas that these foreigners come in and quickly leave them behind socio-economically.
Pretty much the same comments as last night. I’m changing my prediction. This is going to be super close but I think Amnesty Ed will pull it out in the end. Why:
-Amnesty Ed has run a competent campaign. This is almost unheard of for a Virginia gop gubernatorial candidate. But he has done a surprisingly good job. No stupid mistakes so far.
-The ad. It did p### off some folks that otherwise stay home.
- Northam isn’t rallying the rat base.
-Corey Stewart has been actively campaigning for him and DJT has endorsed. Politics makes strange bedfellows.
-Down ticket candidates are pretty good and may have a small coattail effect.
One more factor I forgot to mention; no Robert Sarvis to bleed off votes.
All in all, Amnesty Ed has played his cards remarkably well. And I also think that traditional Virginia realpolitik is reasserting itself. The culture here is different than out west. I just don’t see the internecine battles amongst the gop factions continuing on much longer. In the long run, Virginia politicians don’t like to let something as petty as politics get in the way of a deal.
You good sir, are 100% correct in your viewpoints, outlooks and analysis. Too bad there are so many “negative” Republican/Conservative, voters in Virginia that are not as enlightened or strategics thinkers as you are.
If we all stuck together and voted for Ed Gillsepie, we will turn Virginia” “RED” once again, and destroy the entire Democrat Party in the process...SAD!!!
