Had a poster in forum trying to say Harvey was somehow magically different and unprecedented.
He wouldn’t listen to history or fact either.
Oh well.
I seem to recall reading that archeaological evidence says the southern coast used to see much worse more often.
Measuring by landfall air pressure Irma is tied for 7th. Measuring by landfall wind speed Irma is tied for 14th.

The Alarmists try to claim special status for Harvey due to the high volume of precipitation, but that was driven by the fact that it stalled in one area over Texas rather than moving on, and that was not “climate change” but simply the transitory atmospheric front and wind conditions which happened to prevail in those couple of days.

there is no useful retort- the world is convinced of the lie that man is causing climate change- trying to speak with those folks is like arguing with bricks- you just get a blank stare back fro m them and it goes right over their heads- there is no convincing them

That is easy. it was the time of the depression. Humans used less energy and less coal was burned. thus the temperature of the earth became cooler. Creating a temperature difference in the oceans. Resulting is larger storms.
