I have one that looks exactly like that, dad was coming back into Pearl from Korea and the captain came up about 6am and told dad to go get a new flag to put up, dad said he would take this old one to the infirmary and was told to take it and show his grand kids (2 sailors had died during skirmishes) - he took it to the reunions all during the 90s USS Ulvert Moore

It belongs in the Smithsonian....at least. I was thinking it belongs at Pearl, in the museum there.
