For too long, Hollywood has inserted offensive, lewd, vulgar, and violent content into movies, leaving few appropriate movie options for families.
The good news is that Sony Pictures recently announced a Clean Version pilot program. This program will allow families to rent clean versions of certain movies. Thats right, these movies will have foul language, sexual content, and explicit violence edited out. This is fantastic news for family audiences!
But the battle for the family is never easy. Some powerful filmmakers are furious with Sony Pictures for offering this option to families and Sony is already wavering. Director Judd Apatow publicly blasted Sony, stating, This is absolute [expletive] and Sony Pictures is gonna get [expletive] for [expletive]ing with our movies. Shove the clean versions up your [expletive]. Actor Seth Rogen spewed similarly inarticulate criticisms of Sony.
Sign this petition to support Sony! Help us show Sony and these filmakers that we want clean versions, not just from Sony, but from all Hollywood studios.
We applaud Sony Pictures for making this bold decision, and we implore them to not buckle under pressure from a few anti-family filmmakers.

Boycott Hollywood. Done and done.
Asking for a redacted version of Hollywood productions does no one any good. The actors are still Reds, homofascists, and disrepective of American traditions, history, values, and faiths.
Until they clean house, best just to stay away. It is culturally toxic. Why reward the Beast for giving you a trimmed version while the real version is still run in theaters, on cable, on streaming services, and DVDs?
The studios more often offer the “unrated” versions (PG-13 films that would’ve been R or R-rated films that would’ve been NC-17) of films that would’ve had smaller boxoffice in the theaters had the “uncut” version been theatrically released.
So much trash. Hollywood, tv, rappers, advertising, etc....our whole culture needs scrubbing.
Hollywood has been in the fore front of destroying our culture.
Pushing pushing there perversions onto us for decades.
Delivering the core messages of sodomy, infidelity, anti-Christianity, criminals are misunderstood victims, families with fathers are oppressive and drugs are cool with G-rated language is still filth.
No thanks.
Honestly I think they are doing this to cover the fact the versions of these films will be exported to china with mandarin subtitles.
When “Gone With the Wind” was released, there was much consternation over Rhett’s using the word ‘damn’.
Most of the films up until the mid-late 1970’s had little or no profanity. Even the word ‘bitch’ was overdubbed in Clint’s “Good, Bad and Ugly”.
What happened is an indicator of and catalyst for the coarsening and degradation of our culture.
The slope gets steeper the further down you go.
We went this weekend to see Cars 3. (Our kids wanted to see it, since they have both Cars on DVD.) It was good. I wish someone would make a nice family films that is made with American values.

The appropriate family option is to not attend. Let the bastards starve.
Agreed. Don’t give Hollywood a dime for anything. Find something else to do.
Ditto the NBA and the NFL. Watch your IQ soar.
Time was when Hollywood producers would make movies with alternate scenes in order to permit films with potential television censorship issues to be broadcast with toned down scenes in place of footage that would have been objectionable.
It was not merely a case of editing out objectionable scenes, but of providing coverage to permit the movie to be broadcast with gaping holes in the plot. This was especially true of comedies.
In a free democratic society, we vote with our feet, and with our pocket books.
The elite does not want to allow us to vote because we might vote the wrong way. They know what is best for us and should cast our vote for us, on our behalf. Just look what happened in November when people voted without being properly informed. ;)
The movie makers have found that families no longer wish to pay for the crap Hollywood has been producing and now, seeing their sales have decreased significantly, seek new opportunities to scam the public. Good movies are a thing of the past and the "gimmicks" to bring people to the theaters still won't help.
If a movie stinks I don’t watch it. If it’s good I’ll watch it. If the movie/TV show is not for children, I wouldn’t let my children watch it (they’re grown now).
Some films give an honest portrayal of seedy characters. I’ve worked with seedy characters and I’ve worked with academics. I’ve heard academics sound like truck drivers. I’ve heard truck drivers say things like “don’t bust my shoes”.
I found the characters in ‘The Sopranos’ sound just like tough guys in my old Bronx neighborhood, when I was a kid. Not pretty talk by any stretch....but real and I found it entertaining.
If it’s good and real, I can take it. If it’s gratuitous language, and not good I’ll shut it off. I wouldn’t let youngsters watch either. Grown ups need to make their own choices. I personally hate it when good adult movies are edited for language. I can see changing some of the language for family movies.
This is very good news, V K. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for post and I have forwarded petition to my family and friends.
Cannot disagree with you.
I used to visit the movie theaters about once a week. No longer.
I check the listings and usually there is nothing for me to watch.
I satisfy my movie interests by watching older films from the classic era.
What do these morons think happens when their movies run on basic cable TV? Hello, the worst of the vulgarity gets edited out. I don’t pay for HBO or Showtime, and I forget that I have Amazon Prime half the time, so I rarely see movies in their original forms...and I’m okay with that!

Just called the Southern Baptist Convention and Christian Broadcast Network. Have no idea who to contact in the Catholic Church. Any ideas?
