Charges are pending against a man who was captured on a woman’s dashboard camera trying to run cars off an Oklahoma highway.

A Muskogee woman says she was driving along Hwy 51 near 193rd St. in Broken Arrow on Tuesday when she spotted a reckless driver.

She had her dashboard camera turned on as the driver of a truck began weaving in and out of traffic, tailgating other drivers and slamming on his brakes.

The woman told FOX 23 that there wasn’t any specific event that sparked the reckless driving, adding that he behaved that way with several drivers on the road.

On Thursday morning, Broken Arrow police say they tracked down the driver of the truck. Officials say he admitted to being the driver in the video.

He has not been arrested, but officials say that charges are pending.

Looks to me as though he targeted one specific vehicle. Hope they throw the book at him.

Two thoughts:

1) Something happened behind the dash cam driver, that she is not aware of, which set the truck driver off.

2) Whatever it was does not justify his actions though.

Book'em Dano!

He targeted that vehicle because he wanted to have the car in the left lane pull aside to let him (the truck's driver) pass.

When the driver of the Nissan didn't pull over fast enough to suit the truck's driver, he went off the deep end.

I'm having a discussion on another forum on this very topic. A lot of drivers, like the one driving the truck, feel they're justified in taking any action against a driver who doesn't pull aside to let them pass.
