FULL TITLE: Moment United Airlines worker pushed a grandfather, 71, to the GROUND and knocked him unconscious in the middle of the Houston airport
Just two months after witnesses recorded the moment a 69-year-old man was dragged off a United Airlines flight to make room for crew, a new video is threatening to embroil the airline in scandal once again.
The nearly three-minute video, obtained by KPRC, shows a United Airlines customer service representative pushing a 71-year-old man to the ground in front of the ticket counter and then leaving him to lay on the ground unconscious.
In fact, not a single United employee came to the man's aide. It was only when another passenger, a nurse catching a flight, stopped to help the man that an employee finally called 911 for help.
The victim, grandfather and frequent flyer Ronald Tigner, is now suing the airline and the employee who shoved him - Alejandro Anastasia - for negligence. He is seeking more than $1million in damages.

If I were on the jury, the award would nearly bankrupt the airlines. Management does not comprehend manners, ethics or morals; but they do understand dollars.
So, being a clever engineer, I will speak to idiots in a language they understand. Let’s start off at $250 Million
Think this will stop people from flying United Airlines? Nope.
I (who have something like 21/2 million air miles under my belt) have not gotten on a plane in over five years and don’t intend to ever again.
Jump in the truck, perform my own security on myself, eat my own food, obey my very flexible schedule, and listen to Rush.
So it takes me a day or two more. No big deal.
I'd get roughed up for that.
Get a load of the man’s name! Maybe Trump will deport him.
“Think this will stop people from flying United Airlines? Nope. “
Of course not, win the lottery by suing them!
What amazes me is that the guy lays on the floor for almost two minutes before anyone goes to him. What have we become?
[[Lets start off at $250 Million.
I’d get roughed up for that.]]
One could tickle me for that- but roughed up would cost much much more
That stuns me as well. It is appalling!
A million? Not even close. He needs a better different and more greedy lawyer in Houston. I know one that is a Rottweiler type and he would just love this job. It woudl retire hime fat and happy.
25 million, at least, plus the bastard who did it goes to jail.
This is from 2015!
The guy was walking away when the creep pushed him to the floor.
“He needs a better different and more greedy lawyer in Houston.”
According to article link below Robert Tigner is an attorney.
It was 3 minutes and it was a good Samaritan who just happened to be a nurse who helped him. No one from United did anything and lied to 911 about what happened.
The 71 you must have “clutched his armrest.’ I read [in the Dao case] that once a passenger clutches the armrest, anything goes.
“Seeking $1million in damages. “????
Ain’t enough...
Nearly the same here and a similar number of miles. If someone gave me tickets for unlimited world travel I’d sell them to the highest bidder. We drive, if we don’t drive we don’t go
I have no intention of getting in another cigar tube full of people I don’t know, with diseases I don’t know, rebreathing their air, sitting on seats that have who knows what permeating them, stuffed in like cattle and then there are is security and the airline staff.
I did take slim comfort in knowing that CDC can do an amazingly fast job of tracking down everybody on an airplane who were exposed to a passenger from Angola who has TB if he is not yet dead. In recognition of that efficiency you get to be monitored for a substantial portion of the rest of your life since you may be a carrier but not actively infected. Yahoo, wonderful flight.
Civility is now officially dead having joined common sense in the graveyard. People have become conditioned to hiding behind their alias on the blogosphere and have extended that feelineg of anonomity and security to their public presence.
I am not paranoid. I just think everybody is out to get me.
I wouldn’t settle for anything less than skewering this Allehandro or whatever his name is fat thug on a spit and owning United Airlines then selling it.
Employees are just dangerous. Used to be people may have thought about violent actions but now they act on them.
I agree with you.
If this had been me I would want assault and battery charges against the employee and a monetary payment of more than 1 million from United. Concussions / brain injuries can cause damage which are not immediately detected but how up later.
Thus I was surprised to see the victim was a lawyer and asking for only 1 million in damages.
