Obama family purchases post-White House D.C. home for $8.1 million

Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama have purchased their sprawling D.C. home that they have been renting since leaving the White House in January, CBS News has confirmed.

"...officially purchased the Kalorama home, which boasts eight bedrooms and nine-and-a-half baths for $8.1 million, according to local property records.

D.C. records show Lockhart sold the home for $8.1 million to Homefront Holdings LLC, which is controlled by the Obamas. The deed transfer was recorded Wednesday.

Well we could look at it this way, when the Clintons were finished, they went to New York to be ‘carpetbaggers’ because Arkansas didn't want them...

Maybe Ill. doesn't want the Obamas for the same reasons and so now they are in D.C. to be ‘carpetbaggers’....

The Bushes went back to Texas, their home State, Reagan went back to California, his home State, Carter went home to his State...

And I'm sure President Trump will either go back to New York or Florida both of which are his home States...

Furthermore, he remains physically close to the 'power throne', and feels that his opinion if relevant,

He is a past president so he gets over $200,000 per year, and he doesn't pay for his own security.

He got himself a $2 million per year raise just before he left office, more than any other president.

Plus, he and Moochie got a total of $120 million in book advances for the both of them.

That pretty much makes him a bonafide lotto winner every year for the rest of his life.

And he almost succeeded at destroying our country.

The schadenfreude in me hopes they paid out of their own pocket to build the security fence on their landlord’s property and then had to pay up for the price of the house to the landlord for the fact that the property was enhanced with a security fence.
