After protesters at a Washington state college called for a day without white people, a biology professor says he no longer feels safe on campus — and student activists complain they’re being vilified by conservative media.
Evergreen State College students said racial tensions have been simmering in recent weeks, but reached a boiling point when a faculty member disagreed with their plans to protest what they say is institutional racism at the Olympia campus, according to The Olympian.
Students were particularly incensed by an email that surfaced on Twitter on May 25 between Professor Bret Weinstein and Rashida Love, director of First Peoples Multicultural Advising Services. Weinstein, who is white, allegedly condemned the “Day of Absence” event that asked white people to leave campus for the day.

In a just world, the DoJ civil rights division, the FBI, and the National Guard would be on that campus.
This is an uber liberal hippie school with unconventional everything. It is an interesting study for what happens when Leftism and Liberalism is left to reach it’s logical conclusions. A microcosm of where the U.S. is heading, and indeed is, in the “blue” states. Sad!

I wonder if white people will be forced to have their own bathrooms and drinking fountains.....
They're outraged that other people have free speech.
Remember that demonstration a few years ago where the demonstrators tried to sue people who were taking pictures of them while they were demonstrating.
I think it was at George Mason University, or perhaps Georgetown.
Like the University of Missouri, they will also likely start enjoying days with fewer students enrolling. Who needs this garbage while trying to attend college?

This is the educational equivalent of burning down your own neighborhood. Because the “badge” value of a degree from a college where such hijinks occurs forever loses significant credibility in terms of employment value for the graduates.
As usual racism is in the eye of the beholder.
School should be about education and learning not silly ego games.
Good. Now maybe a few people will see that certain people are out of control. They have been the recipients of extraordinary privileges, all seized from Whites, and have total control over Whites. In return, they have shown that they hate Whites.
Free college tuition. Points added to test scores. Promoted in spite of failure. And the big one: the privilege of laying the blame for their failures on White people.
I hate this fixation on racial divisions. I didn’t create it, the left did.
