...pedantic nit picks...
Covenant gets hit with a neutrino burst dramatically disabling the deployed solar array and killing a portion of the hibernating crew. Through neutrinos are real, they, for the most part, pass right through solid matter, with nary a hit. Millions are passing through you and me, right now.
...
The crew also decides to detour while moving at presumably relativistic speeds to investigate the strange signal. This actually happens lots in sci-fi, as it seems as easy as running errands around town to simply hop from one world to the next. In reality, mass and change of momentum are costly affairs in terms of energy. In space, you want to get there quickly, but any interstellar mission would involve long stretches of slow acceleration followed by deceleration to enter orbit at your destination changing this flight plan would be out of the question, even for the futuristic crew of the Covenant.
...Covenants computer pinpoints the source of the mysterious signal, and gives its coordinates in right ascension and declination. OK, this is good: RA and declination are part of a real coordinate system astronomers use to find things in the sky
here on Earth. Its an equatorial system, though, hardly handy when you get out into space. Maybe a reference system using the plane of the Milky Way galaxy would be more useful.

How about the movie?
I think the author meant PEDANTIC NIT PICKS!
Hilarious.
Anything produced afterward is, at best, random bad dreams Ripley is having in hypersleep en route back to Earth with Newt, Hicks and Bishop.
plinkets’s reveiws are legendary
I also love sf debris

"What's 'Prometheus'?"
I’ll go to all Star Trek, Star Wars, and Alien movies...good or bad....I love them all. Life is short. Have fun.
OMG! Don’t get me started on RLM!
Have you heard their commentary tracks?
They’re hilarious!
The previews even show them doing queer things, so I'm going to pass on this movie.
Was the black goo different than the sparkling green goo?
Why did Ridley Scott let his 12 year old son do the make up for Weyland?
Why would the Prometheus crew agree to go on a four year mission when they are not even briefed on what the mission is until right before the mission starts?
What if the mission involved a gang bang?
If the Engineers were running away from the black goo that was attacking them and trying to kill them, then why was the one guy running into the room where all the black goo was when the door closed and cut his head off?
Shouldn't he have been running away from that room?
Did he forget his wallet in there?
We have talked about him many times :)
I have just finished a season of his DS9 reviews.
I also really enjoy Best of the Worst from Red Letter Media.
I want to for Rogue One though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfJRm0WssOE
Their fan made trailer for Blade Runner 2049 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZOLKwSsFik
Lets not forget their Podcast The Nerd Crew ;)
Now...where have I seen that movie before?
The same plot line from Star Wars Episode 4 is used in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Ho and Hum.
UFO’s change direction on a dime seemingly against all physical constraints and the laws of physics. Simply put, we are not going anywhere farther than Earth orbit until we solve the problem of physical limitations. Going to Mars is nothing but a joy ride that could kill the travelers at this point in our technology.
In short, LET IT RIDE just enjoy the wonders of imagination and special effects.
My wife and I watch “Half in the Bag” and their “Wheel of the Worst” and “Best of the Worst” shows like most people watch regular TV shows. I’ve enjoyed “Re:View” a lot, too.
And, yes, their “Blade Runner 2049” skit was hilarious.
As do I. :P
Better than most things on TV anyway.
