After this last election you still rely on the polls?

I didn't mean to imply that you possess any fewer feminine charms. I just thought she looked great. To each his/her own, as it should be.

In the much nearer a perfect world in which we are privileged to dwell here on FreeRepublic, at our very best, all we are are disparate voices drawn together by the common wish to share our views and opinions. As have you, and I, and Mr. Mountn.

I do agree she could have looked more formal, but she couldn't have looked any better.

IMHO.

Fair enough - allow me to amend my statement: I think it looks tacky, period.

Well, I will give you tacky. Not sure the event. But they snuck into the oval office for pictures. Sarah has been there before. But all three did yeoman’s work in the campaign. They made it about Trump and not about themselves. They did a lot of work but did not take the spotlight. Glad to see Sarah do that.

That’s all I was saying - I didn’t care for the choice of attire. There’s no doubt Sarah Palin is stunning. I am not jealous, and don’t possess ‘claws’.

I also don’t see the point of the pose next to the portrait of Hillary. I know, I know - ‘they’ did it too (and worse). But I don’t want us to behave like them. We won the election - let’s act like it.

Like I said - I’m a huge Sarah fan, and definitely appreciate the support from all 3 visitors in helping get Trump elected over Hillary!

I stated my case above and why.

Saint Palin must not be criticized. Evah. For anything. Evah.

As Saint Coulter used to be here. She comes out of the shadows until the time she is selling a book.

What is it again that Ms. Palin is selling? Paleeze.

In keeping with her rep as a 2A gal, maybe she should have wore something more like this....

Just as inappropriate for the Oval Office as the bare shoulder number. :)

If it makes everyone feel better, Mrs. Nugent's off-shoulder dress, Mr. Nugent's hat, and the cardboard cut-out of President Trump, are all inappropriate for the Oval Office. :)

I don’t mind the off-shoulder stuff too much. It’s those tops that have cut-out holes in them that bother me. It seemed to be a fad for the females on FNC for about a month, and I was thinking, “WTF?”. Seems to have passed now.

Mid-life crisis? :)

I'm afraid not. I love this woman, but she has no taste in clothing and needs a stylist and voice coach. Here's a couple of years ago at the SNL 40th reunion:

Here's what she wore to speak at a huge campaign rally for Trump (shimmy shimmy co-co-pop):

Several of her footwear choices:

Snakeskin.

Platforms.

Bondage.

Someone picked out her nice wardrobe when she was running for V.P. The RNC bought the clothes and she had to return them. Not her style, apparently. Pity.

And I don't particularly think it's a good look for her.

Something more puritanical I presume..........

She is in the White House with Kid Rock and Ted Nugent. I don’t think we are talking about a formal occasion here.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but neither Kid Rock nor Ted Nugent could ever be a serious candidate for the backup person to the highest job in the land. But Sarah was.

Why should the men's status (or lack thereof) determine what she does with her personal image? You didn't see Trump dressing down to their level. She is diluting her brand worse than her children's behavior already has.

Oh man! I am so tired of seeing women’s cleavage; so many of
them (especially the Hollywood stars) with nekkid boobs
almost exposing the nipples. - Enjoy fashion while you’re
young. I’m too porky for off the shoulder blouses. - I have
tried a few “fashion” looks when young that I regret.

Like the tube top worn under a jacket. (That move got me
attention I didn’t want. - Then there was the bikini bathing
suit when I was skinny. Looked horrible. Pale & might as
well have been nekkid! - Then the hip hugger cut-off shorts
and elasticized short shirt that looked, in retrospect,
trashy - wore it around a bunch of roofers working on our
house when I was in my 20’s. (To be fair, our summers here
are HOT - & I really had zero confidence in my “allure”.
It was stupid of me to wear such a get-up anywhere.)

It’s not cattiness to want Sarah to observe that the city of Washington has a serious clothing style for those who want to be taken seriously. Mrs. Dubya and Nancy Reagan always looked perfect in that sense. Sarah’s outfit is a mess in and of itself: a business skirt except for the do-me slit, with a shoulderless family barbecue top and toeless sporty leather shoes. Just no.

Sarah may look sexually attractive to people who merely want to appreciate her in that way, but she does not look like a serious decision-maker, which she once could have been if McCain had been elected. Guess she’s not interested in holding a serious position going forward.

Face it, if Michelle Obama had worn exactly the same thing in the Oval Office, the comments on here would have been majority condemnatory, if not horribly nasty.

I’d like to see that white blouse worn with a white
gathered skirt & white strappy shoes.

Where is the outrage about Kid Rock and Ted Nugent wearing hats indoors, and inside the whitehouse?

I agree. That was my first thought on seeing the photos. Then I saw the tableshirt. Yuch to all of them. The proper thing to do is to dress the way the top guy is dressed; and the top guy was in business attire.

to upstage the President and the important work he is doing to promote your *own* agenda/product is somewhat tacky and self-serving.

Totally agree.
