Nearly half of Canadians want to deport people who are illegally crossing into Canada from the United States, an opinion polls shows.
A similar number also disapprove of how Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is handling the influx, according to the Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll released on Monday.
About 41 per cent of those polled said the border crossers could make Canada 'less safe', underlining the potential political risk for Trudeau's Liberal government.
The increasing flow of hundreds of asylum-seekers of African and Middle Eastern origin from the United States in recent months has become a contentious issue in Canada.

I have to look at the article to see more numbers but this would imply a majority think it’s just grand having them spill over.

Nope. Canada acted like they were all so morally superior to us by taking in these vermin so they can have them.
Why is this surprising. I was still in BC when the SC ruled that illegals cannot stay in the country. The Polls were so overwhelming as well, the govt deported them back to mexico AND billed mexico for the tickets.
And if people think canadians are conservative. Think again, they hate Americans in general.

No, no, no—we will NOT take them back—they arent “ours” to begin with. You dont want them there after your merkelish boy PM told them to come? Then YOU deport them to their countries of origin—good luck with that, but we will NOT allow them back in the USA.
I thought Trudeau, to show how he is so much more decent and enlightened than our guy is, welcomed all comers. They need to talk to him.

And you can bet those same Canadians will bitch if we in turn send them back from whence they came.
The vast majority of these "refugees" entering illegally from the US are economic refugees fearing deportation from the US. The reason they are entering illegally is because if they present themselves at a legal border crossing they will be turned back.
And hot on the heels of “Little Mosque on the Prairie”, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. rushes out its “ Little Tacqueria on the Tundra” pilot.
