The vast majority of these "refugees" entering illegally from the US are economic refugees fearing deportation from the US. The reason they are entering illegally is because if they present themselves at a legal border crossing they will be turned back.
It doesn’t matter what they want, because people are more scared of the power of their liberal governments. Same can be seen in Europe.
