Actually, he may well have gotten re-elected. You have to assume that everyone who voted for Hillary would have voted for Obama. Probably more because:

a) He would get more Sanders supporters
b) He would have gotten more Black voters than Hillary did
c) He probably would have run a smarter campaign than Hillary (that would not have been hard to do)
d) More sophisticated voter fraud (with Federal agencies “helping”)

All I can say is, Thank G-d for constitutional term limits.

And speaking of Constitutional term limits for the Presidency, that 8 year limit should apply to all politicians in every office in the land. And it may happen during Trump’s Presidency.

I agree.

Listening to Obama during this twilight of his administration, he comes across as a man less upset with Trump for rolling up his sleeves and winning as he is profoundly disgusted with the Clintons, the DNC, Podesta, DWS, and the rest of them for their corruption, arrogance, tone-deafness, and hubris in running a disastrously lazy campaign that will ensure everything he worked for this past eight years will have been for naught.

It would have been a much different campaign than Hillary's. With him running as an incumbent President it would have been a tougher race.

But, you know. I think Trump would have campaigned differently. I still think he would have won. No telling what he would have come up with.

Agreed. Bill Clinton credibly made the same claim in 2000 that were he eligible he could have won a third term. We should indeed be grateful for the 22nd Amendment. Hopefully under President Trump we'll see a corresponding Amendment limiting Congressional terms sent to the States for ratification. It's long overdue.

The Founders' vision was that of citizen-patriots who, for a limited time, left private life to serve in government. They never anticipated today's career politicians who spend their entire adult lives feeding at the public trough. The Amendment process is the way to correct this oversight.

I think he would win, too. His only discernible political talent is getting himself elected. People like him, but they hate his policies. For unknown reasons, he is able to remain separate from those policies.
