I have heard the same 4 or 5 names being thrown around. Are we really that lacking in qualified people?! There must be hundreds Trump can consider! Would be better if from outside the beltway anyway. What is the deal?

I don’t know but honestly, I’ll be very upset if he picks Romney. I’m not opposed to him considering Carley Fiorina.

Maybe he floated Romney so we’ll except whomever else he selects. I was completely against Bolton but now that Romney is getting such a big push by CNN and the likes of Joe Scarborough I am willing to accept just about anyone else.
Or Palin.
I’d even prefer her over Romney. What about Newt? (I never would have suggested him if Romney wasn’t being floated)
Because he doesn't want to pick another loser like Clinton or Kerry.

Newt doesn’t want it. He’s already said what he’s interested in. He’s the big picture guy.
Nope - horrible choice. We need someone who is familiar with leaders of the world and knowledgeable about countries they’ll be dealing with. That’s Fiorina, IMO. And she’s sharp as hell.
I guess it has been like that in the past at certain times, but no president is going to pick an obscure academic like Dean Rusk for State now.
That may not be a bad thing, when you consider the Rusk years.
State is infested with globalists. You won’t find more communists in Russia.
The should get rid of the entire agency and stand up an Office of American Interests. All offices should be required to be self-supporting from gratuitous imperialist ventures.
