iPhone fans are not going to like hearing this, but Samsung's Galaxy Note7 (yes, there's no space) is the best smartphone money can buy right now.
I don't make that statement lightly. I've been a devout iPhone user who has owned four iPhones as his main everyday-carry phone for the last six years.
Against all odds, Samsung has made the most impressive smartphone ever created.
The new Note7 set a very high benchmark, and I think the iPhone 7 will come up short (especially if it does lose the headphone jack - that's a massive step backwards in functionality, audio quality, AND convenience).
And it has major hacks into its Android system....other than that its perfect
Since you mentioned Apple, shouldn’t this be in the Religion Forum?
Let me know when they come out with a version that doesn’t use Google’s Android.
Perhaps of interest.
hehe
Don’t ever say Samsung is better on here to the Apple users. They take it personal and become all outraged their dear Apple has a negative.
Have had a 2 and a 4 and was trying to avoid the 1k this is going to cost after accessories.
I’m already anticipating the “outrage”.
Google makes great smartphones, without the Samsung or Service Provider changes to Android O/S. Pure Android operating system w/out any changes.
(My mom has the Note 5 - and I love the size - but I hate what Verizon did to the O/S)
Nexus 5/5x/6p phones are the best. And they are cheaper and don’t come with a 1-2 service agreement. I use Net10 Wireless and a Nexus 5x.
Really? I don’t have any hacks into my Note 5 - it’s rock solid, locked up tight, and works really, really well. No loss in performance over the 14 months that I’ve had it.
I guess if you want to side-load software you face some issues - but that’s the same when you jailbreak an iPhone and install unknown software, right?
In other words - buyer (or user) beware. It’s just that Android lets you do it that much easier IF you choose to do it. You don’t have to, though. But if you want to play around and try things from other sources - go for it.
Does it work with iTunes and all of the apps I use?
I had a 2, and now a 5, and am probably going to get the 7 next spring when my contract is up. I love the functionality of the stylus, I use it a dozen times a day - makes the phone 10 times more functional than just a phone!
If only the Nexus units had a stylus option...
Meh. I checked out the new Note, but I’m much happier with my 6P and vanilla android. I’ll also have Nougat in a day or two :D
I use iPhone for personal and Samsung (android) for work. Every day, side by side use. Android sucks. Samsung phones are not as good as iPhone. It’s just reality.
I got an LG Stylo 2 last week as a less expensive version of the Note7.
Works fine and has all of the bells and whistles of the Note7.
As far as the other apps, what apps do you use? They are most likely also available for Android.
as am I . LOL
