probably had a belly ache after!

Really interesting how the bird wasn’t afraid. For all the times I turned over the garden never had birds hangout while I was actively turning the dirt. Plenty of worms though...

It is a young bird, seeing how it begged for food when he hand fed it. Birds are neat. And smart.

I’ve raised a couple of baby birds that had fallen from a nest. They will follow you around until they are old enough to be on their own.

I’ve had birds stay in the garden while I turned over the dirt but never this close. I’ve never seen one that had to be brushed away so you didn’t accidently hit her with the shovel.

What a trusting (and very young, judging by its colors) robin, enjoying a free feast!

Then again, I’ve seen more cases of wild animals unexpectedly trusting humans lately. There was video last year of a whale — off the coast of Seattle was it? — that surfaced next to a couple of guys in a fishing boat, apparently so they could remove a length of rope caught in its mouth.

Young Robin. Speckled back and strips on breast. Cute.

I’ve seen robins in the back yard , can sense a worm, insect 5-10 ft. away.
Suddenly run over and grab it. How they sense it? Amazing.

The trust of the beasts...from the robin’s point of view.

Several aspects to this.
Amazing that the robin trusts the guy and hangs around while he digs the worms.

But while doing this for the robin, the guy is creating another welfare bum that eventually will not go hunt its own food.

Robins ain’t wired that. When it looses those spots it will strike out on its own. All that’s got to happen is for that guy to miss feeding for a day and that bird will get its own food.

Hmmmm what would happen if the WICK, SNAP and EBT ards weren’t loaded for a month or two? And the illegals were run off at the same time. Could be a win win.
