Silly. Your entire body feeds on sugar. Are you going to stop eating?

My father went on a bread diet, he cut out all wheat? Something like that, but anything having to do with bread, flour and he dropped 20 pounds fast as hell. I was like you have to kidding me, BREAD? I would think cutting back on bacon and hot dogs would make you lose weight like that, but insists all he did was stop eating bread.

Carbs turn to sugar. Cancer feeds on sugar

There are Asian populations that have the highest per capita carb consumption in the world but experience the lowest rate of cancer in the world.

I wonder if Bill Clinton inhaled bagels?

How about white rice? The Japanese eat it by the truckload and their lung cancer rate (and cancer rate in general) is much lower than the rate here in America. And this despite the fact that they SMOKE more too.

We have a perfect storm of sugar, fat, salt, caffeine with excess calories in a sedentary population.

“Carbs turn to sugar. Cancer feeds on sugar...”

Some cancers can feed only on two nutrients: glucose and glutamine. Check out You Tubes of Drs. Thomas Seyfried and Dominick D’Agustino. They are experimentally curing cancer with low-carb ketogenic diet plus exogenous ketones plus hyperbaric oxygen.

Heh. That’s on their list too. I wonder what this “study” consists of.

I think it’s scientists that increase your risk of cancer.

There is a direct correlation. Wonder what would happen if someone created a graph showing proliferation of scientists and increase of cancer incidence.

Sure, cancer feeds on sugar. So does every single cell in your body. Try going without it and see how long you survive.

“I’m still at risk from exposure to second hand bagels.”

That’s funny!!

Every cell in the human body (including cancer cells) need blood sugar in the form of glucose for energy. There is no legitimate scientific evidence showing that sugar makes cancer cells grow and metastasize. If this were true, the people of Guam would be riddled with cancer from their high carb diet. Instead, they have the highest life expectancy of any people on the planet.

“You’re supposed to EAT bagels, not inhale them!”

Finally, the voice of reason emerges.

We duh. Carbs turn to sugar. Cancer feeds on sugar.

There is a great deal of ongoing research on this and Ketogenic diets for the treatment and prevention of cancer. The difficulty in the diet is not from the fats, but from the consumption of protein and then gluconeogenesis. That is where the researches are focusing their efforts to find the minimum requirements so as not to feed cancer cells from protein conversion to sugars.

Yep. The problem is all carbs.
