WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Next time you visit your doctor, be careful how you respond to his questions, or you may just be branded “mentally ill” and subjected to “treatment.” That is because a panel advising the Obama administration, in partnership with Big Psychiatry, wants to make doctors subject all American adults and children over age 12 to screening for alleged “mental health” disorders — particularly depression, at least to start with. Then, anyone found to harbor any alleged mental disorder, including children as young as eight, should undergo “therapy,” often including powerful psychotropic medications that experts say have dubious value but often come with well-documented and highly dangerous side effects.
Your ObamaCare plan will be forced to pay for it, whether you want it or not, thanks to the federal government's commandeering of the health-insurance industry under the so-called Affordable Care Act. And eventually, younger and younger children will be in Big Brother's crosshairs for mental and behavioral health “services,” whether parents want it or not. School teachers, social workers, and more are all already being enlisted in the federal government's search for supposed “mental and behavioral health” issues — a list that is perpetually expanding as psychiatrists invent new “illnesses.” The outcry against the federal government's obsession with your mind and the minds of America's children, though, is growing louder, as critics call the agenda “depressing” and worry whether it is another scheme to disarm more Americans.

I believe sadly that a lot of people are eager to wield this power, psych evals, and many already do in law enforcement, teaching, human resources, and elsewhere.
Look how often on the internet people are analyzing and deeming others bipolar, sociopaths, or having narcissistic personality disorder and so on.
It’s probably only a matter of time before we give our govt the power to stamp these labels on our ID cards and determine everything in our lives from schooling to jobs to healthcare and freedom.

Your experience doesn’t surprise me. I just posted about how many professions already wield this power, making ridiculous “psych” evaluations. I left out healthcare workers, doctors.

the government never has good intentions. A friend of mine was foolish enough to allow the government into her life to help her with her son who was struggling in school. They told her they wanted to help and she believed them. Now they visit her home weekly and she has to bring her son and whole family for "therapy" 3 times a week. They of course want to put him on meds but she hasn't gone along with that. She regrets ever getting them involved in her family. They made her find a new home so that he could have his own room for privacy and have told her that he will be taken away if she disciplines him in a manner they find unacceptable. Needless to say he is still getting straight Fs.

When I lived in Minnestoopid, I would just put up the act like I was a typical Minnesotan barking moonbat. When the nurse asked me if I owned guns, the reply was “No! Guns are dangerous!” I would dumb down the amount of bicycling because people my age were simply not supposed to be fit. So I applied a lot of disinformation and maskirovka.
And yet the APA doesn’t consider a man who thinks he is a woman is mentally ill, and now the federal government protects those who do.
Christian therapists are being told they can’t refuse to treat homosexuals who don’t want to be homosexual (conversion therapy). Chris Christie was even proud to sign that law in NJ.
Nor in some states can they tell mentally ill who think they are an opposite gender to rectify mind with reality, in some states.
In these cases, the only legally allowed therapy is yeah, you’re homosexual, OK, you think you’re a woman, let’s start hormones and plan on surgery.
So no, the religious exemption to intrusive questions isn’t allowed.
Then they can restrict them from owning guns.
and be put on a “no buy guns” list.
