That’s because some restaurants don’t check for proof. Last year I went to Longhorn and all they needed was my USAF baseball cap.
Well, if they can live with themselves.
Veteran ping.
All I can conclude from that is there’d be a shit load of heartburn and they’re trying to kill us.
No thanks.
Eat um up yum yum
Hope as many Freepers as possible know about this . . . even though there are some fuddy duddies that don’t take no charity!
There is also an online group called id.me. Once you identify yourself as a veteran they have discounts. For instance, I received a 35% discount on mlb.tv so I can watch baseball live on my computer. Great deal for free membership.
I also got over 100.00 back on the purchase of a Dell computer.
I was in Nam (Bien Hoa Air Base) I never got spit on, or anything, but I could sense some hostility in some. Not all, of course, but some.
....only if you want to get the sh*ts - bigtime.....we stopped at one in St. George, Utah while on a road trip.
I started puking and shatting at 10pm, and the ptomaine continued the next day to Idaho Falls........and the next to Cody, Wyoming.
I did't begin to come close to healing until Wall, SD the following day.......maybe it was the proximity to the 'drug store'.
.....anyhow, there is NFW I'll ever darken the door of a Golden Corral in this lifetime.
That hate is now reserved for Christians and conservatives. They can’t treat the military bad anymore because they never know if they might get charged with a hate crime from offending a sodomite.
IHOP Wednesday?
“Do you mind if we dance wif yo dates?”
Affirmative sir. I am both. Any wonder why they want to steal all your guns?
:-)
Now ex-veterans are considered as risks, due to all that ptsd they developed peeling taters.
Golden Corral? Our veterans deserve better than food poisoning.
I had a similar problem from a dinner at a famous Italian restaurant. Then I remembered, I’d lost my appetite after lunch. (I was sick from lunch, ate dinner anyway, and wrongly attributed my sickness from dinner).
Those that honor military service year-round get my vote.
I don’t like freebees and never go out of my way to search them out.......

Between the ages of about 55 to 65, I used to get asked my age at restaurants. When I’d say, “none of your damn’d business”, they’d say, “it’s for the senior citizen discount”, I’d simply tell them that I didn’t ask for a discount.
Now that I’m 70, I don’t get asked anymore. I believe they give it to me sometimes. I don’t make an issue out of it but I certainly never ask for it.
As for the freebies offered to veterans, I have always been able to pay my own way and for that, I’m thankful. Those vets who need it, should go for it.
Yesterday, in church, the veterans were asked to stand and be recognized. I stood proudly with the rest of the vets.
Home Depot offers a 10% veterans discount, but the process to get approved is a pain.
Home Depot is a Leftist org and probably only offers the discount to compete with Lowes. At Lowes, all you do is show your ID. They used to have to call a manager to enter the discount mode at the register but have streamlined it so most cashiers can handle it with no delay.
What is the age?
