I mentioned "The Caine Mutiny" and Humphrey Bogart's character, Captain Queeg. I also read the book. She had never heard of TCM, and thought I was joking about rubbing metal balls to relieve tension.
I ran the ship as it should be run, by the book, but they fought me at every turn.
