I have four daughters. Each one is different. My second daughter, Becky, never misses these astronomical events with me. We will be watching them together. It is one of our THINGS.
That is really nice. It brings back a memory of my Dad and I watching eclipses together, as well as him taking me out in the back yard late at night and watching the very reflective Echo 1 Satellite go across the night sky. He was also able to bring home a piece of the Echo 1 material and dared me to rip it in half. (He worked at bell labs)
I did get to see a Shuttle launch back in 2000. He would have loved that!
Becky will remember this forever! :-)
I’ll be doing a time lapse in Dana Point.

Is that pacific time? I’m in central time zone...
Back in the day in the late 70’s in So Cal, I saw the Laser show called Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd) at the Griffith Park Observatory....those were the days.....sigh.....
Rebel Without a Cause and the movie Dragnet, probably others as well, also had scenes filmed there.
That’s very sweet. Those are the moments she will cherish more than any Disney vacay or extravagant birthday presents.
That graphic is for PDT. Add two hours for CDT.
Yes. Pacific time.
Why don’t black outs happen when you need them?
It’s about to start here in Europa, we have a clear sky, it should begin roughly in 11 minutes.
Uh my post is post number 13, heck and I’m superstitious :(
The MSM has made more than one mention of the imbicles that have tried to tie this to some sort of eschaton.....
Thank you.
Yes they did. It’s an iconic setting to be sure.
Maybe the world really will end tonight!
Wow, it’s really taken a big bite out of the top left-hand side now, amazing stuff....rather emotional I find these incredible natural happenings.
Oh no are you superstitious too?!
