Contact Adobe. They will tell you what to do.

Adobe has some brilliant products. They are not great, however, with support long term. They really pressure customers into buying their never ending upgrades. IMO

What exactly did they say when you contacted Adobe support? Did they ask for your registration number or an invoice?

Part of the Adobe Genuine Initiative, the Software Integrity Service is a set of technologies, services and capabilities that can identify whether an installed Adobe product is genuine or non-genuine using a number of technical factors. The service includes a method to detect if software is non-genuine and a notification service (used for the first time with this pilot) to inform users that their software is not genuine, and to give them options to resolve the issue.

When did Adobe start distributing the Software Integrity Service?

Adobe started distributing the detection element of the Software Integrity Service in September 2014, limited to a small subset of Adobe products.

Call (800) 915-9457 to reach a Customer Care representative who can help you if you receive notice that your copy of Adobe software is not genuine or properly licensed.

What do you use Adobe 10 for, particularly?

Any time a company starts talking in NLP - i.e. “ensuring care through positive support of essential integrated human centered feedback and understanding technologies designed to affirm the customer’s underlying needs and facilitate effective and timely response experiences” - they’re screwing you. Run!

check to make sure computer time/date is correct - If machine bios failed due to worn out batt, it may have reverted to it’s default. That can trigger such notices (generally... don’t know about Adobe)

Adobe Motto 1: Anything Microsoft can phuque up, we can phuque up more.

Adobe Motto 2: Non hackable Flash? Feggedabowdit!

Abobe Motto 3: We guarantee at least 15 minutes of (hopefully troublefree use ) before replacing our buggy updates.

"Acrobat detected that it is not properly licensed. You may have unknowingly bought a counterfeit copy."

Is this the EXACT message? Because if it is, you're the only one on the Internet that has this particular problem.

I'm trying variations, but no luck so far.

The only time I had to contact Adobe was when my office burned down and I called to get another copy of Acrobat. They very quickly located our information, and were extremely courteous, sending me an update and only charging $99.

I was very pleased with my interaction with Adobe.

Try GIMP. It's free and I found nothing in Photoshop I could not do in GIMP. (Plus a few things unique to GIMP as well!)
