Rendlesham Forest UFO sighting 'new evidence' claim
BBC ^

Posted on 07/14/2015 8:22:19 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

New evidence has been gathered to back up claims a UFO landed near a US airbase in Suffolk, a former deputy commander has claimed.

Col Charles Halt told the BBC he saw unidentified objects at Rendlesham Forest in December 1980.

He says he now has statements from radar operators at RAF Bentwaters and nearby Wattisham airfield that an unknown object was tracked at the time.

Col Halt claimed it was seen by himself and base security staff.

The 75-year-old, who was deputy commander at the Bentwaters base and now lives in the US state of Virginia, said some former service people had not wanted to speak until they retired but had now provided written statements to him.

"I have confirmation that (Bentwaters radar operators)... saw the object go across their 60 mile (96km) scope in two or three seconds, thousands of miles an hour, he came back across their scope again, stopped near the water tower, they watched it and observed it go into the forest where we were," said Col Halt.

"At Wattisham, they picked up what they called a 'bogie' and lost it near Rendlesham Forest.

"Whatever was there was clearly under intelligent control."

It seems like for every unusual or historic event someone surfaces “years later” to cash in on the fame and fortune.

"Whatever was there was clearly under intelligent control."

Well, that rules out any Demonic Party voters being at the helm.

It is an interesting (one of the most compelling) UFO incident, but like Roswell the story keeps growing each time it is told.

Sometimes these things are spotted on radar (even the primitive radar of 70-80 years ago) and sometimes not.

I can’t make any sense of that.

It seems that, whatever they are, they sometimes want to be noticed and sometimes not.

I don't know what to make of it either. That said, there seems to be an element of stagecraft involved.

I remember the first “UFO Flap” in 1947 and watched UFO stories over the years. Most interesting. I am one who believes that the so called “evidence” for “E.T.’s is not persuasive.

Here is a report of the UFO’s over Washington DC in 1952.

F-117 mishap, clearly.

At the time, the F-117 was deeply classified and RAF Woodbridge was one of its deployed locations.

Mishap on approach and spec ops from Woodbridge flying CH-53’s arrive on scene and do security and clean up (cover-up).

Radar returns are notorious for blips and blobs and other such anomalies, happens all the time, though with less frequency today than before, but still happens.

Since the F-117 has been retired since 2008, I can’t see why the deputy base commander at the time (LTC Halt) would continue to speak of UFO’s instead of at least shutting his yap. The time has passed for the need of disinformation to cover up a mishap.

but like Roswell the story keeps growing each time it is told.

While in training at Artesia, I went to the Roswell musem. The overwhelming feeling I got was that it is a self perpetuating story that is the chief source of income for the city.

It is a business.

Of course it's a business. That's the American way.;-)

Much more profitable than an annual sweet potato festival.
