FWIW, our own Travis McGee has some reservations about this particular exercise, summed up in his last two paragraphs on the subject thus:

Again, it’s Operation Jade Conditioning. Ditto for our generals being conditioned to take orders from civilian bureaucrats for military deployments directly into American cities and towns.

That’s my opinion. Or, you can choose to believe that President Obama is actually getting our military primed and ready for simultaneous spec-ops team insertions across the entire Middle East from Egypt to Iran, and Syria to Yemen, the same geographical area covered by Joint Military Exercise Jade Helm 15.”

Matt Helm.

I loved Dean Martin’s TV show. I often recall his singing “Faith, Hope & Charity”, and out walks three hot babes named Faith, Hope & Charity!

3 HOUR MILITARY EXERCISE CONDUCTED IN DOWNTOWN FORT LAUDERDALE

Either way, Meighan brings up some unassailable points:
“But many of us feel that the separation between military and civilian is not just for Washington DC chain of command. We’ve managed to have a successful military for well over 200 years without having to train so obnoxiously in civilian areas. I thought the point of being a citizen soldier was so we didn’t have troops in neighborhoods unless it’s an emergency. Anyways I hope they reconsider this new idea for many reasons outside of these tight helicopter maneuvers being inherently dangerous, it’s supposed to be an American tradition to keep troops and civilians separated. After you serve your country and return home it’s the last thing you expect to see through your living room window,” Meighan posted.
In case you missed the 3 hr military excercise downtown tonight.

The military has wargamed itself agains’t the American public more than once and they always lose. So they know the score. But that does not mean Barky believes it or more importantly Barky’s puppeetmasters.

What does a drill like this have to offer for military activity in the Mideast? Nothing is the answer. This is for martial law in the USA. Its to desensitize the public to the military running around their neighborhood and taking people away.

You are so right that the military could not lock down well in my opinion more than 2-3 large cities. But they don’t need to do that. They just need to be able to round up the “trouble makers” the “activists” and that’s what the plan is. Or at least part of the plan.

We can only hope that our boys and girls who were not raised to go agains’t their own people will balk at this and I think most will. But about 20% will do as they are told. It will be a terrible confrontation if it happens.

About a mile in on snowshoes/X-C skis. Stop in if you’re in the area.

SHEESH.

Hopefully when nothing happens....they will feel sheepish enough to admit they were wrong...or simply shut up.....but I doubt it.

I’m going to the bar to shoot pool.....LOL

I served in a small country called Vietnam. If you had been there - you would know what the term ‘sequester’ really meant. And yes, that was a pic of the FLR-9.

This time of year, until you can get the snow machine shoveled out of the barn and available to haul supplies....it’s a pain in the neck....the trek in, seems like 10 miles! ;(

Yeah, that can be a tough go for sure, but getting to live up in the Mountains makes it very well worth it!
