I also believe there are some soldiers out there who would follow Obama’s orders and gladly round up some citizens, but there are a lot more who wouldn’t follow him to martial law. They know the man and his aspirations.
They are most likely training for a major disaster.

I agree with you. This is a training exercise. It does not augur a U.S. military crackdown of the American people. While I have no doubt King Putt would love for such a thing to happen, I dare say that if he issued such an order our military would retire him.
Hey, at least the guys are getting some training. Many exercises have been cut. Pray for them, too, since their maintenance and ammo has been cut. Remember the March 10 helo crash in Florida.
Great movie. I have to laugh because when I went to San Diego for my son’s boot camp graduation the DI who was in charge of the thousand or so family members kept warning us to “stay off his grass” and, or course, the Parade Deck. Hallowed ground, it is.

I am proud (and in awe) of our military and am worried FOR them, not afraid of them. Thing is, we are afraid of their top community disorganizer and the superiors that he has promoted.

I agree that Jade Helm is just another exercise. The stated and most likely objective is getting the lads ready again to do their job in Europe. The troops being trained are the “stay behind boys” that would be used to battle the renewed/rebranded/remanufactured Slavic menace from the East.
Further, I agree that the US as currently divided socially and politically would be a very high hill to take, let alone hold against a determined opposition of any size.
Finally, I concur that there would be a high rate of “going south” by the current military, especially amongst the mostly “conservative/patriotic” combat formations.
However, the western military of every nation and age, including our own have a very high ratio of obeying orders whether to fight or fold against any adversary at which they are pointed.
American’s are very good at killing Americans. When we can’t get at others to kill, we like to kill each other.
Tarelton’s Rangers, the Federal Volunteers who gleefully invaded their own country in 1861, the many many times the militia, Guard, or US Regulars were used to put down civil and labor unrest as in the NY Draft Riots, the Pullman Strike of 1894, the Bonus Marchers in 1932 to name just a few of the most famous.
There is a reason Commander Zero and the leftists he serves are driving conservative and Christians out of the military by making it overtly hostile to us everywhere he can.
It isn’t the love of diversity, sexual deviancy or irreligious tolerance that drives his actions since 2009.
It is power and its planned retention.
If you were an enemy of a particular country, and you wanted to destroy it, and you did not have the power to confront it directly, and that country had unguarded borders, and that country’s leader encouraged infiltration through those unguarded borders, and used the power of the government to protect that infiltration, would that not give you some ideas as to how you could proceed to carry out your destruction. The military has, no doubt, finally concluded that an enemy army is already embedded in the country, and they want to find out how they are hidden, to discover how many there are, and to prepare how to combat them when that enemy army is ordered to strike.

Parents and family are so hyped about being there, although I did think the same thing at the time and hated being ordered around, we really did need to be herded. Being in So. Cali. that year was precious, too, because the spring was wonderful. Everything was in bloom, and the grass was actually green. San Diego was the most beautiful city I had ever seen.
I can understand staying off the grass and keeping the base beautiful. High and tight grass. More a matter of respect for all (includes recruits, Marines stationed there, and civilian visitors) as opposed to my individual right to make a mud path.
