PINJARRA, Australia, A video was released of a man having a seizure while skydiving in Australia.
The incident happened on November 14, 2014. The intermediate-level skydiver had the seizure at an altitude of around 9,000 feet.
The man was allegedly unconscious for about 30 seconds. An instructor glided on a collision course and successfully made contact and opened the man's parachute at around 4,000 feet.
The man regained consciousness and was able to land safely with the parachute.
THAT is the definition of "expert in one's field."
Something tells me his time just wasn’t up yet.
I call it “divine intervention”.......using a caring, wise person nearby......as God often does.........
Might be a good idea to refrain from further skydiving activities.
It certainly is!
I have never jumped out of a perfectly good airplane, but in my medical opinion, this could have ended badly.
Did it once on my Birthday 8 years ago, kick in the ass. But if 172 quits I aint jumping, gonna ride it down and land
Usually students wear an Automatic Activation Device which would have opened his reserve. Still it was the right thing to do for the instructor provided he kept himself safe, the AAD could have failed.
Or driving...
I’m filling out a life insurance policy on him. Spell his name again for me. Seriously, he should take that instructor out for steaks.
Men that jump out of perfectly good airplanes are not sane
