The German language is super harsh if you compare it to other languages! Watch the full version of How German Sounds Compared To Other Languages! Every video in one big ultimate version!
Dutch is worse.
The Klingon of Humanity...
Hysterical! I took German in high school. I really liked it, too. Maybe I was getting out my teen frustrations by speaking it!
I think that my study of Russian had a similar effect!
In what other language does the statement that something is good sound like you are saying:
“HORROR SHOW”?
LOL
Russian always sounds drunk though, with the slurring and excessive R’s, S’s, and D’s
Ach du lieber!
Dank! Das war sehr lustig!
On a related note. A loooooong tie ago, I listened to Dr. Dimintia play an old record of people laughing hysterically for several minutes. He asked the listeners to tell him what language they were laughing in.
Indeed.
I learned the Latin words to Verdi’s Requiem from a recording of the Moscow Symphony and Chorus.
I didn’t realize that i was singing Latin with a Russian Accent and still make the “L’s” in the back of my throat as a guttural instead of a resonating labial.
Guten morgen!
Die schönste Sprache der Welt ist Deutsch.
Englisch klingt hart zu hören!
Arabic is incredibly harsh sounding too.
Scapă-mă, Doamne, când cerurile și pământul se va clătina;
când va veni să judece lumea prin foc.
Izbăvește-mă, Doamne, de la moartea veșnică în acea zi îngrozitoare.
Scapă-mă.
I can almost read that! LOL! :-)
Romanian music is amazing, BTW! :-)
Indeed...you wish somebody “Peace” and it sounds like you are offering them a pork sausage.
re: He asked the listeners to tell him what language they were laughing in.
Is laughter different in other languages?
Lachen ist die Universalmedizin.
Es braucht keine Übersetzung!
My favorite for years: Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung
First time I saw that work my mind gear-jammed.
Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz -
63 words long - a law describing the regulation of beef labeling! Considered satirical even by native German speakers.
Since repealed.
Russian spoken by a beautiful woman can be very pleasant to listen to.
German spoken by a beautiful woman sounds like I am being scolded & lectured to!
