Bart the cat should be renamed zombie cat after he was hit by a car, buried and then crawled out of his grave five days later.
According to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, theyve seen many cases at their clinic but this situation may take the cake!
They are now caring for a 2-3 year old black and white cat named Bart who was found by his owner after being hit by a car. The cat appeared to be lifeless and his owner, Ellis Hutson, buried him in a shallow grave. Five days later, the cat showed up in a neighbors yard alive!

No wonder the old saying, "nine lives", has endured through time. They are, indeed, survivors.

I’ll skip the obvious Pet Semetary jokes, and just say “hurrah!” Always good when a pet survives an accident.

He, Ellis Hutson, took his cat to a vet who declared the cat ‘dead’.
I guess Ellis wasn’t in any hurry to bury his dead kitty! And I would hope he seeks out another veterinarian.

A very oddball fellow who used to work with me told the story of how one of his goats choked to death on something. He went to bury it & then decided he wasn’t absolutely sure it was dead, so he buried it with the head sticking out of the ground.
He was an interesting fellow (formerly Navy on fast-attack subs) & always had a story. We were never sure if he was actually telling the truth or being facetious.

Found a dead cat on the side of the road which died from getting it's head stuck in a small potato chip bag and couldn't get out it was a tight fit around it's head.
I picked up the cat and placed it on the floor mat on the passenger side with the bag removed. About a half hour later I was at a light and felt eyes on me. I looked down and there was a feral cat growling at me. The instant we made eye contact it sprung for me. I was bit up and clawed up in a bad a$$ kitty blender inside the compact pickup cab. I had to jump out and leave the doors open to let it out.

There was a hilarious movie with John Laroquette and Kirstie Alley about houseguests. In it there was this cat that kept dying and getting thrown away, buried, etc. and it always kept coming back. It was a very funny movie.
