***Update***: The man in the video appears to be Pastor Eric Dammann of Bible Baptist Church in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. Ive sent him an email requesting more information about why he punched a child. (Via Christian Nightmares and @StickyPkls)
In this clip from a sermon, a Christian pastor explains how he walked up to a smart-aleck kid who wasnt taking the Lord serious and punched him in the chest.
Because thats how youre supposed to win converts for Jesus.

Maybe we shouldn’t give a hoot about what some atheist website says about Christian pastors.
Someone passed this on to me. One thing you have to realize is that most atheists are former Christians. Every time someone in their former church messes up they have to call it on the carpet.
Atheists: Doing Satan’s job even though Satan is not an atheist!
Proverbs 23:13-14 are instructive. Some commentary can be found here...

IOW, Hemant Mehta writes in Patheos how Christianity is just as violent as Islam, and how punching a kid is equivalent to mass-murdering people in France.
There was a case in LA where a pastor punched a dude who jumped him. The hospital later found out from the injury that the person had cancer, so he saved both himself and the attacker’s life in the process.
I guess this church isn’t seeker sensitive?
That shows how ridiculous the atheist credo is. Even Satan himself believes in God. Crazy folks.
“I guess this church isnt seeker sensitive?”
The guy sounds bloody stupid to me. Just asking to be put in jail for endangering a child. No parent in their right mind would take a kid here.
“Hemant Mehta writes in Patheos how Christianity is just as violent as Islam,”
Violent or just stupid?
First of all, I tend to think Eric Dammann is most likely made the story up. If hed hit a child, a minor in the chest so hard as to crumple him to the ground, I tend to think that most responsible parents would have called him out on it and put him in his place or even pressed charges against him. If Eric had done so to a strapping 17 year old, he might have gotten back just what was coming to him.
He was a bright kid, which didnt help things made him more dangerous.
Yes. Of course, being bright is a barrier to being a good Christian /s. FWIW, at 12 years old there was another very bright kid some 2,000 years ago who asked questions, some rather impertinent questions and he even challenged the wisdom of the adults at the temple. Perhaps Pastor Eric should have been there so he could have punched Jesus in the chest and crumpled Him to the ground and taught Him a thing or two.
Seriously. Most very intelligent and bright kids will ask questions, a lot of them and sometimes if not often will often come off as impertinent and will even try to push the adults buttons while doing so. The answer is not to physically beat them down for asking the questions, but to rise up to their level of understanding, even with some humor, while answering and teaching them by example how to do so in a more respectful manner.
All this pastor did was teach this kid 1) dont ask any questions and 2) if you are ever asked a question about your Christian faith that makes you at all uncomfortable, just punch them in the chest and crumple them to the ground just like Jesus did.
You are most likely that this was made up
“First of all, I tend to think Eric Dammann is most likely made the story up. “
there is a video. he said it.
Gerry did you watch the video? He says in it “I crumpled the kid” This guy is sick. Jesus would never do that.
