I've seen similar sights more than a few times:

Oh yeah! When Stella was still a kitten and we were living on our last boat, she ruined THREE sets of miniblinds like that. One night, I had to get up and free her as she was hanging by two claws and couldn't get loose. We have shutters in our house now. I loved this one, too:

Our cats loved to climb the Christmas tree when they were kittens. I was surprised
to see two little kitten faces staring out of the tree at me, at my eye level. LOL!

After that, we stored the glass ornaments and bought a large set of hanging
Christmas soft-sculptures and used them until the cats stopped climbing the tree.

Thank you for the Post and ping, mkmensinger and SA&.

Had an all black male dubbed "The Bubber" (originally named "Bubba" but we decided he needed a more unique sobriquet.

Once in a while, he would get this wild look in his eyes and then the show was on - he would race around the house, sliding on the tile floors and bumping walls, leap on/over furniture and burn off a week's worth of energy in 5-6 minutes. He was 16 lbs with big head and paws - I called him our fuzzy bowling ball and the aftermath of his romps almost looked like a bowling ball had run wild...

We had a cat that would perch on the top of the living room drapes and pounce on us when we came in the door.

We don’t have a lot of window treatments but they do wear the house out and Its ok! My loves....

The frames for the doors are worn down because of the clawing. The couch too. Yes, we have scratch posts and scratch trees with cups for sleeping/carpeted all around but they prefer the door frames.

Thanks for the thoughs! My connection to home is this list.

Merry Christmas and Happy new year Everyone!

Our cats have a bunch of those cardboard scratching pads. They love
them, and I hate finding the shredded cardboard all over the dang house!

But they can do no wrong, and they are all, always good boys. They
never get yelled at or reprimanded. After all, they have no idea that
they’re driving me nuts. It’s just not their fault, LOL! We love them.

Patience is love.

Patience is love.

I will tell my husband that, no I am lucky, jokingly I said we needed to give one away. I thought he was going to divorce me. We have 7. So much joy!

And a husband who thinks they are the bomb!

Oh they got a bag last night. That sound could drive you nuts if they were not so cute with it.

Yes, I am a mush. This world gives us so much heartache. Its God’s way to give us more love.

Thanks

Last year I finally had a Christmas tree (moved to my own house) and my kitty who had not been around a tree proceeded to slap the baubles off the low branches....

This year, its “ho hum, that thing again” no boxing practice from kitty.

Ah, yes. We have been singing funeral dirges for our shattered
glass ornaments since our first two kitties were rescued in 1982.

That behavior does taper off when the cats mature, as your cat
did. Thank God and all the saints.

We don’t hear much of that “POCK tinkle” sound of breaking
ornaments anymore.

That would be unnerving! Siamese cats are famous for that, too. My sister had one who would lurk on top of open doors in various rooms in the house, then pounce on people as they walked in the room. I have a Siamese mix rescue cat who goes up the walls and across the ceiling of our outdoor “catio” enclosure by putting her claws on the large wire mesh. Should have named her “Spider Cat”.
