I turned on the radio briefly to hear what Glenn Beck had to say about the amnesty EO.
He said that he knows a homosexual married man, who has been trying so hard to go through the red-tape get his spouse into USA legally. I believe he said he'll have an interview with this man shortly.
While I totally agree about his point of the unfairness of EO amnesty, I thought his example of someone trying to follow the law was rather odd, and very atypical of the average person waiting in line.
Your thoughts?
Thanks for the reply.

Frankly, guess any, or perhaps all of those charges might be leveled against any conservative talk show host on the air for more than a decade.

Why do people here slam Beck? Because he’s become a mouthpiece for the NYT.
Greetings DuncanWaring:
Interesting point. Mind providing a link backing up that “mouthpiece for the NYT” assertion?

OLA
Back during the Cliven Bundy period he posted the NYT-edited version of Bundy’s discussion on the relative quality of life of American blacks “now” and “then”, and then when that nitwit NBA owner got caught being almost as racist as his employees, Beck and his sidekicks spent two days on that bit of nothingness, and now he apparently agrees that it was a mistake to invade Iraq.
Greetings DuncanWaring:
Not being that long of a Beck listener, I thank you for the example. Given we regularly discuss NYT content on FR, I hardly consider myself a NYT mouthpiece.
In my own case, I’ve found myself in favor of something at first impression, only to change my mind after discovering the details.

Good summary. Can’t listen to him anymore.
You need to be an oppressed minority in order to get special attention.
Bullseye... you perfectly described the lawless society we are becoming and I am totally with you. I really see no need to follow many laws anymore. The federal government violates laws all the time. Screw it.

NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION!
Spot on about Beck, too.
I started listening to Beck around 2006, liked him a lot.
The show started going downhill when he added his two sidekicks (curiously, I liked Pat Gray when he would occasionally guest-host for Beck).
About a year or so ago the show really started downhill, as I described earlier.
Yep.
I am not going to be constrained by laws written by those who refuse to be constrained by laws.
A person only has as much power over me as I give them, and seeing as how these people have absolutely abused the power I gave them and my trust, I give them no more of either.
They mean nothing to me. They are worms.
Contract is null and void.
Yep, dunno what happened to him.
I used to really enjoy his insight, even though I do not agree with him all the time.
But now listening to him is a complete waste of time. I mean I cannot find any value in it at all. Very disappointing.
Don’t forget the way he smeared Cliven Bundy and his supporters.
Also, fitting into your category of homosexuality embracing, Beck famously said he would “stand with GLAAD”, one of the most vile, perverted organizations on the planet.
Beck is a huckster, a shyster, a drama queen, and a weeper. He used to be annoying to me. Now he makes me sick.
Greetings CatherineofAragon:
While I don’t like Cliven Bundy’s plight, I’m not certain my wagon would be unconditionally hitched to him, either.
As far as Beck’s support for GLAAD, mind providing a link?
Cheers,
OLA
Ditto.
Beck represents the interest of foreigners over Americans. He should stop using the word “Americans’ that he liked to use so often. He’s a drunken mormon moron.
Here are some Beck/Glaad links:
