I turned on the radio briefly to hear what Glenn Beck had to say about the amnesty EO.
He said that he knows a homosexual married man, who has been trying so hard to go through the red-tape get his spouse into USA legally. I believe he said he'll have an interview with this man shortly.
While I totally agree about his point of the unfairness of EO amnesty, I thought his example of someone trying to follow the law was rather odd, and very atypical of the average person waiting in line.
Your thoughts?
He’s just tying his anecdote to an approved victim group. Cheap but not at all strange in today’s politics
I try not to have any thoughts about Glenn Beck.
Beck...just please shut up.
That is the best example he could come up with?
Obama will happily move gays to the head of the immigration line, too.
My brother just married a mexican woman. Same hassle there.
+Glenn's use of that analogy (did he say anal ogy ?) .. true or false is just pandering for ratings.
IMO
I heard the interview, and the guy was incredibly articulate, and spot on. He made a case against 0bama better than most of us probably could. lol
He asked why people of the gay community support 0bama while he stays in bed with all of the Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran. The funniest thing he said: “If I like my head, can I keep my head?” (paraphrasing)
The guy was really a blast to listen to. I’d like to think there are many more like him.
As far as I can tell, in this country there is no reason to obey any law you don’t agree with.
If some agency, arm or branch of any local, state or federal government stands in the way of what you want to do, or simply will not act in an way that you approve of, then you do what you want to do without them.
After all, our president is no better than any one of us.
If he is king, we are all kings.
If he can create law out of thin air, so can we all.
As far as Glenn Beck goes, I cannot listen to him any longer.
His show is no different than some moron FM radio morning show.
He used to provide useful and interesting information and analysis.
Now he provides nothing but tomfoolery, and I have no interest in that at all.
Not all gay people are liberals. A large percentage are, but not all.
My thoughts? It's NOT marriage, no matter what GB or the pols call it. Marriage was ordained by God as being between a man and a woman LOOOOOOONG before governments were instituted among men. GB can take a flyin' leap.
Once again we have Glenn Beck using his pro-queer marriage views to make a point. Beck is a tool.
I’m about to launch the process to get my wife’s “Green card”. To do so, I have to pay the DHS, in two separate checks, around $1500, plus supply them with a large amount of personal data through various forms.
Why THE F*** are people like myself not IMMEDIATELY waived through, if illegals are going to get handed their papers like this?
Greetings KoRn:
Saw it, Glenn was very articulate skewering ‘da Bamster.
Beginning to enjoy watching Glenn Beck’s The Blaze network on satellite TV, the original content is excellent.
Can not understand why so many people slam Glenn here upon FR.
Cheers,
OLA
Yeah, I’d love to have The Blaze on TV, but unfortunately my current TV provider is Comcast, which I HATE, but it’s a necessity for fast internet.

Feelin’ yer pain.
My wife is steamed at this whole proposition (I’m a scary-calm oddity). She/we DID pay the $1500, inch thick stack of paperwork, interviews, delays, hoop-jumping, etc - so why do they get to just walk in? why are ideal cases made so hard, when outright criminal violations get a red carpet? Between this and other issues, I’m increasingly wondering “are things _really_ THIS screwed up? I know there’s some statistical/newsworthy anomalies, but is it all THIS extensive?”
I know how you feel. We spent thousands to get my husband a green card. It’s infuriating at all the hoops they make you jump through.....then they don’t enforce the law. Disgusting.
Wife’s cousin 9 years and holding in the Philippines.
It is a huge hassle from what I have heard from various people and other sources. Get rid of some of the bureacracy to make it easier for people that want to follow the laws of our country.
Build a fence first.
NO new immigrants until the fence is complete.
Start enforcing the fines on firms that employ illegals.
Enforce the laws when illegals are found.
