Glenn Beck Stands With GLAAD Over Russian 'Hetero-Fascism' (Video)

Conservative radio host Glenn Beck told CNN's S.E. Cupp that he would stand with the gay advocacy group GLAAD in the fight against the criminalization of homosexuality in Russia.

Beck said it’s ridiculous that Americans were so wrapped up in “Duck Dynasty” and the race of Santa Claus in December.

“What are you nuts? That’s the conversation we’re having?”

Meanwhile in Russia, he said, “last week one of their biggest stars on television said that homosexuals should be put into the ovens alive.”

“I didn’t think you could make the Holocaust worse,” he said, “but he’s like ‘Why the gas chamber? That seems a little too humane. Let’s put them alive in the oven.’”

“I will stand with GLAAD. I will stand with anybody who will stand up and say, ‘That’s crazy. That’s dangerous. That’s hetero-fascism,” he added. “And we’re talking about 'Duck Dynasty' Really? Really?”

Earlier this month, Beck told his radio show that it’s wrong for President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden not to attend the Russian Olympics.

He said the real reason Obama isn’t attending the Winter Games in Sochi is because “you’re angry at Vladimir Putin because he schooled you and embarrassed you on Syria.”

Beck said, instead, they should go to the games and “at the last minute” walk into the stadium “arm-in-arm” with gay athletes.

They made it a crime to subject minors to gay propaganda.

It’s about protecting children, which the gays say they aren’t after at all...

That’s not very different from “corruption of a minor” crimes in the west.

I understand Glenn’s compassion for other people, but we Americans have a lot of problems of our own to fix, or to even address before we start lecturing others on the right way to live. We cant seem to budget our money, we cant seem to guard our boarders, and we have very high unemployment among our young people, for a start.

This is so bizarre! So some Russian actor said something derogatory about gays? I never hear anyone condemn Tracy Morgan for threatening to kill his son if he turned out gay.
Glenn talks the God talk but doesn’t do the walk. It’s all schtick. No one listens anymore, his 15 minutes are up.

There is one HUGE difference between Russia's gay propoganda law and "corruption of a minor" crimes in the west: it is a Russian law prohibiting propoganda. You're crazy if you think, for one second, that Putin and his henchmen won't use this law against his political opponents (whether by planting prohibited "propoganda" on social media sites, re-defining "propoganda," or something else).

I don’t feel good about this. The set up of vulnerability reminds me too much of the Munich Summer Olympics. Putin should leave the Chechneans (sp) alone, if that’s what all the hatred is about. Let them colonize and only destroy each other. There seems to be no limited to the level of carnage they are more than willing to inflict.
