A 1968 photo taken during a Lunar Orbiter mission to the moon shows what appears to be a spacecraft that is at least 10 miles (16 km) long resting inside the Crater Manlius. The photo was the subject of a Youtube video that was released on October 4 that shows various close ups and light contrasts of the apparent spacecraft. Most of the object is well illuminated by the sun, but the rest is in the shadows of the crater which is approximately 20 miles (34 km) in diameter, What appears to be a spacecraft cockpit is in shadows. According to an October 5 blog post on UFO Sightings Daily, the object is a UFO that was being secretly studied by NASA, and the real target for upcoming Apollo moon missions. Exopolitics.org The apparent spacecraft was photographed by Lunar Orbiter III (frame 3073) that was sent in 1967 to map the moon for future Apollo missions. Prior to its October 2014 “rediscovery,” the UFO in the photo was discovered in October 2007 and discussed on an online forum where the consensus was that it was a spacecraft of some kind.

A blurry “photo” from an unknown source with unknown origins and probably manipulated in unknown ways is suddenly supposed to prove the existance of some manner of “spacecraft” because it appears on openly fraudulent website with no method of checking the viability of information and you think this is somehow worthy of a thread?

For such a farfetched idea to be fascinating, I’d have to have a very low threshold for entertaining such thoughts.
Combining the human eyes and brain with two dimensional photos creates these “discoveries”. The “face” on Mars, basically a large otherwise nondescript hill caught in a particular angle of sunlight one time, and New Hampshire’s Old Man of the Mountain rocky outcrop are examples of what happens when the brain processes limited visual information. A spaceship shape right out of a low tech 50’s monster flick (the kind where you could see the suspension wires) that is supposedly about 7 miles (they even got the conversion from 11 km wrong!) in length is more probably this kind of illusion than any sort of super alien technology.

It can’t really be a UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) if it’s just sitting there, can it? And if you call it a USO, you run into trademark issues with the United Services Organization (the “Bob Hope” military tours folks).
