A second member of the South Korean band Ladies' Code died from injuries sustained from a motor accident, her management said today. Kwon Ri-sae, 23, better known as Rise, died this morning at a hospital in Suwon, just south of Seoul. She had been unconscious after undergoing hours of emergency brain surgery following Wednesday's accident. Fellow band member Go Eun-bi, 22, died shortly after a van carrying the group crashed into a guard rail on a rain-drenched highway near Seoul.

Sad to see the young perish.

Good luck with that one.
All that plastic surgery...
The all-puns-all-the-time part of my brain reacted by asking what does it profit to gain the whoeoul world and lose your own Seoul.
The rest of me thinks that the last I read, 25% of SKs were Christians, and I pray that these were among them. Otherwise, even God says that He does not delight in the death of the wicked.
>>Sad to see the young perish.<<
Barely started. Prayers for the remaining members and the families of the departed :(
That is very sad!
RiSe passed away last night, too. Horrific head injuries and the brain trauma was too much. This is a very sad incident that could have happened to any number of Korean groups, they way their companies push them so hard. I knew who Ladies Code was but didn’t follow them. They had a lot of potential.
Second from left and second from right??
Were they in a van being driven by a manager to a gig?
Korean drivers are apparently crazy, a reason that most cars seem to have dash cams. (you can see Youtube video of bad Korean drivers)
Go Eun-bi and RiSe were very, very talented young girls.
Wow Sojung is still in the hospital and another member has a broken jaw? The one with the broken jaw attended EunB’s funeral services?
This is all so sad
EunB
Rise
The hair changes all the time
I never realized how difficult it is to ID Korean people.. I supppose Koreans can do it with ease but I sure can’t.
I paid no attention to the hair. I mostly looked at jaw line.
Hmmmm, you’re right. God only knows how much and what type of plastic surgery these girls had inbetween photos.
I’m almost completely face-blind (Prosopagnosia) and have trouble identifying some of the people who work for me, and have failed to recognize myself in mirrors. Identifying Koreans? I couldn’t even start.
The manager was driving them back from a live performance back to their dorm. It was 1:30 am and raining hard. The car in front of them skidded, their driver tried to avoid hitting it but the left rear wheel came off (poor maintenance) and the back end of the van smashed into a guardrail and broke open. EunB, RiSe, and Sojung apparently weren't wearing seatbelts. They were thrown from the van and landed headfirst on the pavement. EunB had an open skull fracture and died at the scene. RiSe's skull was caved in and her "brain was dented" - she had nine hours of brain surgery but they had to stop because her blood pressure got too low. She was likely brain-dead at that point, anyway. Sojung suffered fractures to her upper jaw and arm and apparently a lot of facial trauma. She will live, but some are saying she may be too damaged/disfigured to perform again. With the quality of Korean plastic surgery, I doubt that last part.
Ashley and Zuny had relatively minor injuries - broken hand, sprained neck, cuts and bruises. They were at EunB's services - video is on YouTube.
Ugly scene - could happen to any number of girl groups. As I said (being an SNSD/KARA/T-ARA/AOA guy) I wasn't familiar with Ladies Code before, but I've watched some of their videos since and I like them.
Do you like seoul music?
Yes, let’s hope they did make Jesus their Lord and Savior.
As has been stated here before: ‘Better to know Jesu Christ 20 years ‘too early’, than 20 seconds too late’.
Very Sad. I see these young women in the picture, and I reflect on the K.T. Three. Little girls, I mean very young girls that sang for us at the MP compound, and of course they performed at other venues in S. Korea back in the sixties. They were very talented young singer/dancers.
To these young ladies recently killed in the accident R.I.P. Prayers up for them, their family, and their friends.
