A pair of high-profile NFL rookies crossed paths Saturday night -- a meeting highlighted by Michael Sam mimicking Johnny Manziel.
Sam, the first openly gay active player in NFL history, mocked Manziel's "money sign" after sacking the Heisman Trophy winner in the fourth quarter of the St. Louis Rams' preseason victory over the Cleveland Browns.

Who had the better day again?
When you have a signature celebration move and you lose you should expect to have your move thrown back at you. Either don’t have a move or don’t lose, the choice is yours.
I’m sure Manzel could mock Sam’s with a gesture or two.
But they would not show that kind of gesture on TV.
Kind of hard to flip a bird when you're on your back.
Affirmative Action player
Michael Sam? Is he a split end or wide receiver??
Quite possibly. And Manziel may be known as the man who was sacked twice by the first openly gay football player in his second-to-last pro game.
Manziel is an arrogant SOB, and I suspect his line feels the same.
Last week, Manziel displayed his middle finger to the Redskins in a fashion deemed offensive to the NFL and was fined.
Now, does anyone believe that the NFL will fine Michael Sam for his taunting of Manziel as Manziel was fined for taunting the Redskins?
No. Michael Sam will never be fined for anything.
The rule is, there are different standards for members of officially recognized grievance groups, such as black or homosexual people. A member of a grievance group has to commit a very serious offense before any sanctions will even be considered.
Ugly response.... Leave the personal attacks to the left.
Manziel = Ryan Leaf
Two of my least favorite players down there with Ray Rice and Dog Killer.
Michael Sam, does have a point. That sack may have secured him a spot on the roster, so he can fairly certain is going to get some money. Just like manziel knew he was going to be guaranteed some on Draft day.
...and if he could he wouldn't know if Sams thought it was an insult or an invitation. Could be problematic...
