I’ve seen thousands of diet claims over the years. I wonder which one is right?

Taking in less calories than you burn will cause weight loss every time.

Cut the carbs and it works like a charm. When I want to gain weight I add potatoes to my meals.

I’ve dramatically reduced the carbs and sugar. Meat, fish, fruits and vegetables, and no meals after 6pm. I’ve lost 25 pounds since February.

I sure believe this.

Many men will take another piece of meat, or another taco for dessert, over a piece of cake, or pie.

Feed a man a big meal and then bring out a beautiful, lucious chocolate cake, but before he cuts it, ask him if he would prefer a small, bacon wrapped filet mignon that for some reason, you are already cooking in butter.

This type of diet is one that bodybuilders use to cut their fat. You need enough protein to ensure your body does not consume its own muscle when consuming its body fat.

It’s still comes down to cutting your calories.

Isn’t that the basis for the Atkins diet?
I tried it & lost 15lbs but cravings for pasta & mashed potatoes took control so I stopped.

I’m still drooling over the kind of woman that after a big meal would be secretly cooking you a bacon wrapped filet mignon in butter, just to mess with your head, that is my kind of woman.

By the way, females do prefer sweets and chocolate over more meat after they have eaten, isn’t that natural for them?

When I cook for men I have sometimes just put a 8 pound mass of meat on a platter and we eat it with knives, but for females, I try to make a balanced meal and finish it with something decadent and sweet, that impresses them like a well made burrito does us.

I lost half my body weight on something like an Atkin’s Diet. ALL diets work if the calories in are less than the calories out. They all fail eventually if the cost of doing this feeling like you are starving all the time. Atkin’s Diet tends to give a person objective measures on whether what they are doing is working. If you eat crap food, processed carbs, sugars, etc...then the calories you are eating are really easily absorbed and the fat burning pathway does not happen. It takes a bit to restart it and it won’t happen while your calories are easy. Fasting will get it started but not easily. For guys it may take as much as three days. That’s why it is good to check with a doctor. Gals can have the effect start in one. But you can check with easily available strips to find out when your fast is working. After that, it only takes about a one day fast every 10 to 14 days. But the keys is not to eat the crap food at all, if you do...you will overeat.

One thing that was kind of funny when I lost the weight, EVERYONE loved the way I looked, but most everyone was trying to get me to eat crappy food, knowing my diet was working great.

I have lost 13 pounds since April. Eliminated grains and refined sugar. That’s it. I don’t count calories and don’t ever feel hungry. Eat lots of fruit, vegetables protein and avocado for fat. Avocado for breakfast in a two egg omelette and not hungry until dinner. But i also snack on cashews sunflower seeds and pistacheos. I eat when not hungry. So lots of fat and protein.

I suspect that grains spike blood sugar then crash so it makes you hungry all the time. I do miss beer.

You need to still eat carbs as well as the protein and vegetables. Just keep the carbs to a level you are comfortable with.
