The U.S. Department of Agriculture is teaming with businesses, nonprofits and others on a five-year, $2.4 billion program that will fund locally designed soil and water conservation projects nationwide, Secretary Tom Vilsack said.

Authorized by the new farm law enacted earlier this year, the Regional Conservation Partnership Program is intended to involve the private sector more directly in planning and funding environmental protection initiatives tied to agriculture. Officials provided details of the program to The Associated Press ahead of an announcement scheduled for Tuesday. …

“Get off my farm.”
I don’t accept farm subsidy payments anymore,I don’t want the USDA or anyone else telling me how to manage my land.

They needs lots of machine guns with tritium sights that have oversized trigger handles for gloves to protect soil and water.

“This program is a recognition that a coordinated and comprehensive effort is more effective than the USDA operating on its own and Ducks Unlimited operating on its own and the Kellogg Foundation operating on its own,” Vilsack said

This is just more centralization and group think.

One of the phrases that scare me and anger me at public meetings is ‘plank owners’.

The only question here is who are the politically connected contractors who will line their pockets working on this? It isn’t going to help one damn bit to conserve soil and water.

USDA should partner w the EPA in identifying which offices should be CLOSED IMMEDIATLY.

If the USDA told half of their desk jockies that they had to go to work in the field AND ACTUALLY INSPECT FOOD PRODUCTION, most would quit.

We all know that government agencies are like cancers, whose only goal is to increase in size and kill the host body (the nation).

This is right out of "U.N. AGENDA 21 "
If you don't know what it is ,..you should acquaint yourself about it

It establishes 'regional councils' to advise on "sustainability" of resources, and includes members of organizations, coporations, and Govt.'advisors'.
It creates NGO (Non-Government Organization)that willCONTROL resources by formulating goals, and measurement of reaching those goals.

These are NON-ELECTED boards who have no accountability or responsibility to the citizenry, and they usurp power and control of the resources.
The members of this Board will be leaders of corporations who lend credence to the legitimacy of this organization, despite the fact they are too busy to attend.
The sporting organizations and farmers are going to be divided according to size, commercialism, respectability, and are expected to contribute money.
The functioning members of the Board will then be "hand-selected" by some connected Progressive administrator or suggested by some liberal "think tank",
and eliminate any semblence of objectivity .

Doubt me , if you will, but then look at where this system has already happened : New England fisheries, and areas of Southeast Atlantic, and Gulf of Mexico.
NOAA Director Jane Luchenco, installed by Obama, violated a Congressional directive, and initiated "catch share" quotas on fisheries in New England.
This all but bankrupted commercial fisheries, and led to the 'sale of catch shares' when fishing companies couldn't make a profit, and sold off their 'catch shares'
either to non-profit organizations, or sold off to foreign government controlled corporations.
This led to the privitazation of what used to be commercially viable fishery which is now largely held by foreign corporations.
This has happened on the East Coast , the West Coast ,and on the Gulf of Mexico

This was all done under the aegis of UN AGENDA 21 program called "SUSTAINABILITY" and with the agreement of regional councils who were "hand-selected" progressives.
Lubchenco even closed off all bottom fishery in the SouthEast Atlantic; at a Congressional committee, Lubchenko had to admit the fishery was closed without any study
It was done .. because they could !!
Why should this issue with fishery concern you ? Because it showed the power of these regional committees, and especially their lack of accountability !
All this accomplished with the air of respectability through the use of local forums , with no accountability.

These local groups of hand-slected people created the conditions of control under "SUSTAINABILITY", sometimes without any study on the effects.
Lubchenco at NOAA demonstrated the success and ability to over-reach through local groups that is prevelent today in Government.
Still doubt me ? .. 85% of the seafood and fish that you consume is now owned by a foreign government, or foreign government corporation.
Still think fishery is irrelevent ? Wait until beef, pork and chicken prices rise ,
and then realize that it is almost all foreign owned thanks to local groups who went along with "SUSTAINABILITY "
