Michael "Weiner" Savage is annoying the heck out of me, the prissy little self important prima donna started yelling at his board ops.
Seriously, I mean you hear feedback over the headset, you simply slide the headset off your ears and continue until they fix it and give you a hand signal to put your cans back on....
Savage despite calling himself an expert is quite the newbie.
And you NEVER EVER berate your board ops while ON THE AIR... EVER!!!!!
Reminds me of the overly self important bully type boss who berates his employees in front of the other employees instead of pulling them aside in private and having a reasonable discussion, even if you have to chew them out.
Having worked in a real business before this is just so unprofessional.
Just the sign of a doofus self important prima dona.

I just put iHeart over the Mark Levin, sure it is a day old, but it is a LOT better and he doesn’t treat Mr. Callscreener like crap.
It’s all part of the act.
Savage is on here (NM) in Hannity’s old time slot. He’s unlistenable.
However, another station started Phil Valentine who I find quite good.
I’ve heard Mike Gallagher do this. Completely unprofessional - and tells you a lot about the personality behind the microphone.

Phil is on 1040 in Colorado Springs.
Savage is a moron, I would listen to Justin Bieber all day before listening to Savage.
He would hang up on people who agreed with him but weren’t good enough talkers for him.
The stations that put him on in drive time need their head examined.
All talk radio is difficult to listen to. Rush repeats himself three or four times on everything he says. Callers just meander rather than getting to the point. I haven’t listened to radio in years. I record whatever I want to listen to and play it as I drive. There are lots of free books. Start here.

If it is an act, it is a very off-putting act.
I think it resonates with me because of a previous bad boss I had who berated me infront of our entire team for an issue. This issue that no more than 2 hours afterwards was discovered to be a physical issue with a server and not anything I could have done to fix or mitigate it. They chewed me out infront of all my team members very unprofessionally and angrily.
After the issue was found out the SAME boss took me aside in private to apologize and had to fight back my tears and anger to to compose myself and simply asked very tersely that I would only accept the apology if it was don in front of the team members who were witness to my initial chewing out.
The boss then threatened to write me up for insubordination for this request....
I told them to do and when it got on her boss’s desk I was brought in to her boss, we talked about it and thankfully her boss was reasonable and explained that he had gotten many complaints and some of them about the public humiliation harassment.... He tore up the insubordination report by the way....
They never did fire this crappy boss and I eventually left for greener pastures and am far better for it, but Savage today is just reminding me far too much of this crappy boss I had the displeasure of suffering.

He also does a fantastic job of skewering Savage’s stream-of-consciousness self-involved rubbish.
Quit listening to Savage after trying to read his book. The darn thing seemed to be written for a child!
Some degree of Diva behavior is going to happen, especially in a field where it is your job description to emote and exaggerate, and examine. Still one shouldn’t forget we all have a sense of pride, even the sound engineers.
Mike can be brilliant and a grand storyteller, but he has a tendancy to strike out at other conservative talk hosts, even when they appeal to different audiences, and present no rational threat of popularity. That’s the main reason he got almost no on air support when Great Britain declared him persona non grata. The silence of other big talkers was deafening. But Mike learned nothing constructive from that experience at all.
Michael Wiener is extremely annoying to listen to. WLS recently put him on the drive time slot here in the Chicago area. I think it’s a delayed broadcast. When he starts self agrandizing I just switch to NPR. At least NPR had a segment on the Bundy standoff. Rush and Wiener had not a peep to my knowledge.
Not ready to be let out of his cage.
He will never stop screaming either, so he will probably never be ready for Prime Time.
A shame really. I listened to him some years ago and agreed with most of what he screamed. But, a little Savage goes a long way.
