Regarding Kristofferson, from wiki

“Military career[edit]

Kris, under pressure from his family, ultimately joined the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of Captain. He became a helicopter pilot after receiving flight training at Fort Rucker, Alabama. He also completed Ranger School. During the early 1960s, he was stationed in West Germany as a member of the 8th Infantry Division.[10] It was during this time that he resumed his music career and formed a band. In 1965, when his tour of duty ended, Kristofferson was given an assignment to teach English Literature at West Point.[11] Instead, he decided to leave the Army and pursue songwriting. His family disowned him because of this decision and they never reconciled with him.[citation needed] They saw it as a rejection of everything they stood for, in spite of the fact that Kristofferson has said he is proud of his time in the military, and received the AVA (American Veterans Awards) “Veteran of the Year Award” in 2003.[12][13]”

That makes him a “hard core leftist?”

He will continue to sell out with a bright yellow smile. Willie, like some other old school celebrities, likes the Maya Angelou “Poet Laureate” Treatment, because they feel oppressed today.

Many folks who are hard-core leftists come from humble, small-town beginnings.

Worse yet are those who spent time (or graduated from Baylor), once a fine Christian and Conservative institution. There's Willie Nelson, of course, but also the socialist governor who almost destroyed the Texas economy in the 1990s, Ann Richards.

I thank Kristofferson for his honorable service.

But do you have any idea what he stands for?

He's been a total pinko since the late 60s.

Yeesh.

Look up his political stands.

And YES, he doesn't "seem" like the kind of guy who would go full leftist, but he did.

Willie’s beyond just pot. He had a massive box of psychedelic mushrooms and other things in his stash when he bus was busted a few years ago.

Wendy Davis filibustered protections for women who suffer botched legal abortions.

So much for “safe”.

Willie Nelson and Emmy Lou Harris are going to have a concert/contest to see who can put the crowd to sleep in the fewest notes.

Three failed marriages, a son who committed suicide, troubles with the IRS, drug busts.

Willie and his family have also suffered through the devastating consequences of drug addiction. His son Billy hanged himself on Christmas Day, 1991, at 33. He had been in and out of rehab for substance abuse, and his death was the worst event of Willie’s life.

“Death is not the ending of anything,” Willie says quietly. “I believe all of us are only energy that becomes matter. When the matter goes away, the energy still exists. You can’t destroy it.It never dies. It manifests itself somewhere else.” He pauses. “We are never alone. Even by ourselves, we are not alone. Death is just a door opening to somewhere else. Someday we’ll know what that door opens to.”

“I believe that,” he affirms. “I really do.”

I like his music. I think he’s a great songwriter.
So I’ll be a fan of his for those things and make my own political decisions.

"Death is just a door opening to somewhere else. Someday we’ll know what that door opens to.” -- Willie Nelson

Until and unless he repents, when that door opens for Nelson, he'll find it leads to a very large and eternally hot room inhabited forever by fellow leftists such as Ted Kennedy, Malcolm X, Tip O'Neill, Adolph Hitler, Frances Perkins, W.E.B DuBois, Joseph Stalin, Edward R. Murrow, John L. Lewis, Karl Marx, Nelson Mandela, Mao Tse Tung, Robert C. Byrd, Margaret Sanger, Osama Bin Laden and many others who have brazenly served satan.

Yeah and Benito Mussolini made the trains run on time. Evil is evil and those who embrace it, whether it be an Italian dictator or a Texas “musician” are doing the devil’s work. Teaming up with a thoroughly wicked woman to kill babies us unforgivable. That’s not merely politics, that’s a matter of fundamental morality and Willie Nelson is on the wrong side.

I can personally attest to the fact that you do not have to knowingly do anything wrong to have “troubles with the IRS”.

My guess is that he’s working off some of that IRS debt by helping with Democrat fundraising. Effing traitor.
