Michigan’s nearly decade-old ban on gay marriage is going to trial Tuesday, with two weeks set aside for testimony from experts about whether there’s a legitimate state interest in restricting marriage to a man and a woman.

Same-sex couples poised for a favorable ruling last fall had lined up for marriage licenses across Michigan, only to be stunned when U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman said he wanted to hold a trial. Since then, judges in Utah, Oklahoma and Virginia have struck down bans on gay marriage. At least 17 states and the District of Columbia now allow it. …

What's the point of voting when judges just step in to dictate otherwise? We're still awaiting a ruling on our affirmative action ban as well.

More insanity coming down the pipeline. Morality takes hold overseas while we descend into Sodom and Gomorrah.

I’m not nearly as confident of the outcome of the gay marriage ban as I am the affirmative action ban sitting in the US supreme court.

How come the American Red Cross can ban sodomites from donating blood - A health risk...? The CDC has on its website the deadly effects of sodomy... yet the state cannot ban sodomite “marriage” because rogue federal judges keep demanding sodomite marriages must be sanctioned by the state!

"whether there’s a legitimate state interest in restricting marriage to a man and a woman."

Exhibit A in how liberals "think". The onus should be on the kooks, not the normal people.

In the affirmative action case a federal court of appeals ruled that it was unfair for AA supporters to lose because they can’t afford to keep fighting long after they lost. Its in the US supreme court now.

Remember a year or so ago when that gay couple in Boyne Falls made headlines here in the state when they were married on an Indian reservation that one of them belonged to?

The name of one of them was Ben LaCroix. Well, I grew up in Boyne City and one of my best friends was named Ben Lacroix and this wasn't him, thankfully.

As I recently learned however, the name of the guy that got married is actually David LaCroix and he's the younger brother of my buddy Ben......LOL!

The media had it wrong and that didn't set to well with my buddy, the real Ben.
