Sorry, but it takes a special kind of stupid to leave a cleaning rod in a gun and actually firing it that way.

Sorry, but you have to be a complete moron to leave a cleaning rod INSIDE the rifle barrel.

Looking at that box of rounds tells Me that somebody needs to stop reloading till they learn properly and instead use some Factory ammo.

‘course with a blowedup gun it’s a tad too late

I have read that during the War Between the States, it was pretty common for soldiers in the heat of battle to leave the ram rod in the bore. Black powder is pretty low pressure so the guns probably didn’t blow up every time.

Hopefully the $2k scope can be salvaged.

Looks like the dumb-a$$ once had a very nice rig. He's lucky to be alive.

.338 makes a big bang.

I could not afford the ammo for a .338 Lapua Magnum. Academy keeps them behind the gun counter. They put out their .50 BMG out on the floor. It sells for around $65.00 for 10 rounds. If I am not mistaken the Lapua is more expensive than .50 Caliber.

If you’re too dumb to take the cleaning rod out, you’re too dumb to own a gun

I remember Skeeter Skelton admitted accidentally shooting his TV set. The point was everyone does something stupid some time in their life.

I don’t like public ranges because of what I call ‘Perfessers’ working up loads and doing unusual things. Annoys me when they seem to always take a lane in the middle of the line so as to inflict the most risk on the largest number of other shooters.

You have to scan around at public ranges before setting up to make sure you’re not just plopping down next to a ‘Perfesser’ or an otherwise commonly dangerous schnook like Señor Explodo de la Lapua as we see here. What an ass. Hope it cost him a fortune.

Usually, I just go shoot in the desert despite having an outstanding public range nearby.
