I could not afford the ammo for a .338 Lapua Magnum. Academy keeps them behind the gun counter. They put out their .50 BMG out on the floor. It sells for around $65.00 for 10 rounds. If I am not mistaken the Lapua is more expensive than .50 Caliber.

I guess if you can afford a $5,000-$6,000 rifle and scope, you can afford $10 per round ammo.

I still have around 20 boxes of Lapua 6.5X55 match. It was actually very reasonable at $10.50 for a box of 20. Unfortunately it is berdan primed.

According to the box it is only 2760 joules (2036 ft. lbs.) which should be pretty mild. despite that, it seems to kick pretty hard from my 29 inch Carl Gustavs. It is accurate tho.

SoCal price on 338 Lapua,,,116 bucks for 20 rounds,,,

must be nice.
