The stars behind the reality show sensation Duck Dynasty already conquered television and the literary world, so it's not a shock to see them outsell some of the biggest names on the music charts.
Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas sold more copies this week than both Britney Spears' latest album Britney Jean and the sinking fast disk from Lady Gaga, ARTPOP.

This can’t be! They’ve appeared with Sarah Palin, and I thought she was the Kiss of Death.
It’s cheap scripted faux hillbilly entertainment. Do I really think they go around blowing up beaver dams with enough dynamite to create a nuclear mushroom cloud or build a conveyor belt table that’s powered by a the rear wheel of a truck in real life? Heck no and I’m pretty sure the producers have writers that put together episodes like this for entertainment value. Is it funny? You bet and I like it being the cheesy type of guy that I am...: )
Hint: It takes a can of alphabet soup and a bowel movement.
Godwin: “Cheese”
> Godwin: Cheese

And a poodle as a hunting dog...but I love it.
Watched the Christmas episode last night. Best Line of the night. “what are you getting the staff for Christmas?” “Bullets and Beef Jerky”
Seriously, I just don't get it. Then again, I suppose it's better than Miley Cyrus dolls "with rhythmic twerking action and an attachable foam finger".
God, I am turning into a grouchy old man...
HEY! YOU KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN!
Poodles were actually bred as hunting dogs originally. It’s just the toy varieties which get everyone the perception of wimp dogs. I have a friend with a full sized poodle and it does have all the hunting characteristics. It keeps up just fine with my doberman when they play.
Gee, who would think? A religious family singing Christmas carols from the heart would sell better than the cat-strangling shrieks of harlots hoping to exploit the holiday to make a buck.
(Prepare yourself for this next thought. May cause nosebleed.)
Some wit suggested that music industry executives hoped the Duck Dynasty stars could “spice up” their Christmas album, by wearing g-strings and ‘twerking’.
Looked up Missy singing Silent Night from last year’s Christmas show.

Got an ad for Lady Gaga before this video. Missy could sing her under the table.
That’s cool info to know!
Spears, Gaga and Cyrus?
No thanks
The weird fact about poodles which my friend taught be is that they don’t actually have fur like other dogs, but hair more like humans. That was particularly odd to hear. You can actually shear them and use the hair like wool.
I enjoy watching the show (for some strange, unknown reason). But I realize if I had these people in my life on a daily basis...
Thank goodness I live far enough away from my own relatives...the names have changed, but...
At least somebody is smart enough to understand, that fame is fleeting, so they are marketing the heck out of themselves and making money while the money is good.
I can't imagine anybody owning Duck Dynasty throw pillows.
...Wait...yes I can. I'll probably see them on my cousins' couches.
How do you know?
Have ACTUALLY heard Lada Gaga sing? /s>
Thanks for the link! I’ve never seen the show in my life - that girl has a nice voice.
Indeed!
We all seem to think that “Hollywood is just in it for the Money” but there is a consistent pattern of the Hollywood establishment snubbing the Big, Best-Selling, Box Office Blockbusters that are “Family Friendly”, and throwing all their support behind dull, dreary, agenda-driven propaganda flicks like “Brokeback Mountain”. Bear in mind, if one brings their entire family to a beloved wholesome movie, that would be at least THREE tickets sold, and if several families go together, it could mean over a DOZEN! (Of course, there is an obvious attempt to slip green or collectivist propaganda even into Family Movies such as The Lion King or March of the Penguins, but I digress).
The conclusion would be that the Leftist Agenda is even more important than MONEY!
