But the breakdown in governance has reached a level not seen since the eve of the first Civil War. So is the tea party conviction that everyone else is trying to "change their way of life." If all the red state people separated from the blue state people, the blue country would find themselves with about half the population dependent on government. In other words, all the takers would be in the blue states. A very large percentage of crime is also committed by blue staters.
