Tim Tebow News: Quarterback Receives Million Dollar Offer from KISS LA
Christian Post ^ | 09/10/2013 | BRITTNEY R. VILLALVA

Posted on 09/10/2013 8:43:24 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Tim Tebow has had a rocky NFL career starting with a first round draft pick in 2010 and potentially ending with a dismissal from the New England Patriots about ten days ago. But not all hope is lost as Tebow has been offered a potential "million dollar" contract with Arena League franchise LA KISS.

Operating out of Anaheim, California the LA KISS team, owned by the infamous KISS rockers, has extended an official offer to Tim Tebow. Known for his strong Christian beliefs and positive outlook, a partnership with the rowdy rockers may not seem like the most conventional choice, but the band member believe that Tebow can bring a lot to their team.

"Acquiring Tebow would not only be a great investment for the team, but his exciting style of play would definitely send shockwaves through the League," said KISS bassist Gene Simmons, a.k.a. The Demon, in a press release.

"We're excited for the opportunity to see him with an LA KISS uniform on, and for the LA KISS fans to be rockin' their Tebow shirts and jerseys."

The release stated that Tebow would have the opportunity to "earn millions" if he chooses to sign the three-year contract that has officially been extended. The league owner also expressed faith that if Tebow chose to take the offer, he may find one of the best places to improve his skills.

"Similar to how Kurt Warner blossomed in the NFL after becoming one of the greatest quarterbacks in AFL history, we feel our league is the best place for Tim to refine his skills and gain valuable repetitions. We have tremendous faith in Tim's ability to succeed in the AFL," KISS co-owner Brett Bouchy said.

This is not the first offer that has been extended to Tebow by indoor football. The Omaha Beef offered Tebow a contract in April, that same month, Tebow also got an offer from the Lingerie Football League to be the LFL's "National Quarterback Coach." Other offers have also come out of Canada, but Tebow's management team has shown little interest in any of them

I like Tebow and I think he's a winner, but he does have room for improvement. He does need to improve his accuracy and raise the percentage of passes he completes. If he can become more accurate and learn to read defenses like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady he could become one of the top quarterbacks in the league. I hope he plays football this year even if it's not in the NFL.

Brett Bouchy used to own the Orlando Predators franchise....until the Amway Pyramid Scammers known as the Orlando Magic had the Predators kicked out of the Amway Center. Bouchy now is with KISS and the LA franchise.....Tebow probably would be with the Predators if not for the Magic

What is your point? If I played QB like Manning or Brady then I’d be in the NFL too. Tebow couldn’t hit a barn with a handful of rocks...

I was replying to the poster who said Tebow didn't need to refine his skills. I think he's not in the NFL because of his issues with reading defenses and accuracy. If he can make improvements in those two areas he might have a chance to play in the NFL.

All the college accolades in the world don’t mean squat once you get your first paycheck. Just as true for football players as everybody else in the world. Once you’re a pro it’s your professional accomplishments that matter. And Tebow’s professional accomplish basically add up to completing a few passes while his defense kept it close, except in the games when the defense couldn’t keep it close. 4 training camps, 3 teams, 4 coaches, always 3rd on the depth chart.

1/2 a season starting (while still listed 3rd on the depth chart) makes him an experienced corporate executive?! Out here in reality he had his chances, 4 trainings camps worth, and never climbed the depth chart. But he still has a chance to be paid to play football, if he doesn’t take it that’s on him.

The same reason we don’t call people that finish pre-med “doctor”.

It’s pretty much how it was for Tebow’s UF predecessor, Danny Wuerffel. Great College career, not such much in the NFL.....Lot’s of great college QBs don’t pan out in the NFL...and look at the great NFL QBs that nobody really thought about in college, Tom Brady is one who immediately comes to mind.

Given the history of Heisman winners in the NFL you could theorize that getting the Heisman should immediately bump a player to the second day of the draft. A few succeed but they are by far the exception.

It’s one thing to play against one or two defensive players that are potential NFL quality....but when the defense has 11 NFL-Quality defensemen, it’s a whole different world.....90% of the things you get away with in college will get you killed in the pros.

Tebow has a winning NFL record and a playoff win. In the games where he played well, which was the majority, he did an exceptional job of ball control and scoring efficiency.

Tebow has been offered these kind of opportunities before and he doesn’t want them.

You're right. But this is free publicity for a team that most people never heard of.

The way I see it, Jacksonville has absolutely nothing to lose by giving Tebow a shot. They might even get 30,000 to go their games if they bring Tebow in.

His denver stint was just a ploy to keep his twiitterers going.. he should have bulked up and become a fullback.

Have you seen pictures of him lately? He did bulk up. If he keeps going maybe he can switch to left tackle and make a fortune.

I remember when CBS rescheduled a Tebow game so they could show it to a national audience. It makes me wonder if these NFL teams are in business to make money or take tax deductions.

I follow very little about the NFL these days, except for what is forced upon us all when another thug makes the crime news.

someone may want to suggest a move to Aussie land and rugby, a real man’s football.. :-)

He has a less than 50% completion rate. His TEAM that includes 52 other men, many of which do important things like keep the other team from getting points, has a winning record. Sorry but there really aren’t many games he did well, there’s a 5 game streak where he didn’t manage to complete more than 9 passes but still won, which is certainly NOT him doing an exceptional job of anything.

That was CBS’ move to enhance their ratings. Which has little impact on team revenue (CBS is paying the same amount no matter what, the only question is renewal time, and they’re already renewed into the next decade). Meanwhile they want their QBs to actually complete passes, something Tebow simply does not do.
