It’s pretty much how it was for Tebow’s UF predecessor, Danny Wuerffel. Great College career, not such much in the NFL.....Lot’s of great college QBs don’t pan out in the NFL...and look at the great NFL QBs that nobody really thought about in college, Tom Brady is one who immediately comes to mind.
Given the history of Heisman winners in the NFL you could theorize that getting the Heisman should immediately bump a player to the second day of the draft. A few succeed but they are by far the exception.
It got to the point where his own college coach, Pete Carroll, wouldn't even give up a single fourth round draft pick for the QB that won him a national championship.
