Tim Tebow has survived the New England Patriots' mandatory roster cut to 75 players.

The third-string quarterback faces another hurdle when all NFL teams must reduce their rosters on Saturday to the regular-season limit of 53.

Tebow is expected to see considerable playing time Thursday night against the New York Giants in the Patriots' final exhibition game. He played poorly in the first two games and did not play in the third.

He better get his act together this time. I still say they need him. Mallett is a good back-up but he can’t take a hit. He collapsed like a lawn chair every time he was hit with any force at Arkansas. The Pats need a back-up for the back-up. I don’t care where they play him. Tebow can take a hit.

I think Tebow will take the Patriots to the next five Super Bowls. Bellichick has a master plan and it involves Tebow in a major role.

As a waterboy maybe.

Hint: he ain’t that good. He is serviceable as a 3rd string QB and might get inserted into a gadget play or 2.

I hope they cut him. Houston needs a good quarterback, and Matt Schaub isn't it.

Tebow and Yates would get it done.

Most teams carry three QB’s, but the Pats went with two last season. Hopefully, Tebow will have a good game; the fourth preseason is usually when the non-starters play the most. Of course, the purpose of that is to figure out the final cuts.

Hernandez is going to prison for murder.

Gronk is hurt, at least he was the last time I checked.

Tebow has a future with the Patriots.

See how smart I am? /s :)

Belichick is simply delaying the inevitable.

Sam - put down the ale. Tebow looked terrible in pre-season. If Belechek told Tebow to play like that as a diversion, he’s the best dang coach in the league.

It could happen.

I hear Tim is working on his CDL chauffeurs license as a backup plan.

We just need to pray that the coach gives Tim a fair chance and that the receivers try to catch Tim’s passes during Thursday’s game.

Good point. With Tebow’s “accuracy” it will take a prayer for the passes to be catchable.

Or a miracle.

Someone should tell Timmy: “sometimes, God says ‘No.’”

Since the next Superbowl is in New Jersey, he probably could take them there. He could drive one of those little busses. I don’t think he needs a CDL for that. so, yeah. It’s possible.
