Our boys bring in a Turkish sniper. Hmmm.
That seems to disprove my theory that nobody taken prisoner with a scoped sniper rifle, or a flame thrower, ever lived to be a POW.
Maybe his rifle wasn't scoped.
Or maybe he "attempted to escape" after the Aussies took his picture.

Was he trying to hide in a herd of zebras?

Oh and for the record, I have seen an old 65 year old coot nail the crap out of steel gongs an 400 yards using an Argentine mauser with open sights shooting from the shoulder standing up.

Some of these old guns don’t get the respect that they deserve.

The Turks have built guns for a very long time.

Good eyes. Was this 65 year old coot being shot at by the targets, or using a familiar range? Just askin’.
To: dfwgator

Familiar range.
But I sure was impressed.
I am lucky to hit that with a scope and a bench 50% of the time.

One problem with fresh foliage as camo is that it amplifies the person’s every move.

Too bad Barbara Walters didn’t get a chance to interview the Turk: “what kind of tree are you?”
