I'm not going to spoil the story for anyone who has PVR'd or taped it for later viewing, but I think last night's episode was maybe a first. It involved a sniper who was picking off random drivers in NYC. Turns out the shooter is an extreme LEFT-wing environmental wacko, and the detectives basically come right out and call him that. Wow. I thought the only "extreme" people were right-wing. /s
Gotta love anything with Tom Selleck in it.
My only problem with it is that unless he was a TRAINED sniper no way could he make those shots with someone driving a car at 50mph.
But yeah it was good seeing the green weenies being blamed.
I don’t know how “Blue Bloods” gets by Barry’s Hollywood propaganda czars. I guess the lefties needs at least one show they can hold up to Americans and say, “See we’re not ALL communism ALL of the time”.
Tom Selleck wouldn’t have stood for it being one of us.
This has been one of the only tolerable shows in the mainstream media. It’s not perfect, but I like the family and Tom Selleck in it, and the Bay Ridge, Brooklyn scenes.
I don’t think there are many places in NYC you’re able to do 50 mph.
We watched it last night, and are just now watching it again on DVR (my wife fell asleep during the show last night).
A great episode of a great show.
I truly don’t know how the the writers get these Faith- and Family-affirming scripts through the modern degenerate TV production teams.
I have been a Tom Selleck fan since “Magnum, P.I.”
I was yelling at the lefty weasel, too.
I yelled at the last episode of "Elementary", but for a different reason. Sherlock was telling a Russian spy family that their daughter could grow up to be POTUS. There's that NBC that some can't seem to wrap their little pea pickin' minds around. I quit watching "Eureka" when back during the campaign they kept showing a picture on the wall of the usurper every 8 seconds over and over and over again. That show isn't even allowed to be background noise in this house.
Can't even watch NCIS anymore, and have given up plans to kidnap Abbey to a desert island.
Soon as they said it was a .223 round I thought: “here we go - it’s probably an evil AR-15 (maybe wielded by a prepper even)”
But no - shooter turns out to be a leftist green using a 700 bolt-action!
The only thing I watch on TV (other than football and NASCAR)
that is rare
“I truly dont know how the the writers get these Faith- and Family-affirming scripts through the modern degenerate TV production teams.”
Yeah, the last show I really watched was “American Dreams”. Imagine a family consisting of a father, a mother and children who all live at home, and love each other. Unbelievable.
We came in on the program about half way through. Did the little boy get shot?
We are watching the first two seasons on dvd from Netflix. What a show!
Tom Selleck is one of our favorites. No idea when we’ll be able to get Season 3 from Netflix. Then we’ll be able to watch the whole season, but could you send me a mail message about last night?
Yes, it was great! Who knew there was such a thing as “green” bullets?
“Soon as they said it was a .223 round ...”
I thought the same thing. I turned to my wife and said, “Here we go”.
I noticed the Reagan family prayed and gave thanks to the Lord. And when they mentioned Jesus it was not a cuss word. So refreshing!
From the man himself: “We are socialists, we are enemies of today’s capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions.” —Adolf Hitler, May 1, 1927.
For sure! About time for another Jesse Stone isn’t it?
SPOILER: They were all dead the whole time
I thought only ASSAULT WEAPONS fired .223 rounds! /sarc
I saw the episode and they really came down hard on lefty/wacko enviros. “I’m gonna put my carbon footprint down your...” It was a rare pleasure!
I never miss an episode of Blue Bloods.
God, family, wholesome values, liberty, justice and respect for one another.
NO, not shot. He was hit by a nasty bicycle rider.
Other than NFL football, the only time I watch CBS is to watch Blue Bloods. Great show.
What does everyone think about a train and carry law?
Must have certificate of safety, storage and firing certificate?
CSI NY is pretty good too; has had some Roman Catholic themes as well.
Not to mention that they actually said a prayer in the episode. Refreshing.
Yep. one of my favorite shows for its honesty in culture.
Frankly, I think the left-wing wackos in Hollywood (and elsewhere) would do themselves a great service by occasionally showcasing an extreme far-out left nutcase, just so they can say, “You see, we’re just average people. That’s what an extremist is.”
Refreshing. ACLU will set its sights here soon.
The show treats the Catholic Church with a great deal of respect.
Feds tend to be bad guys or unhelpful, at best.
I don't know if it's all Selleck, but I suspect he has influence. I've seen few of those shows that were disappointing.
I would like to see them do some more court cases, featuring Bridget Moynahan, with the usual script twists. They have done a few of those that were quite watchable.
Little boy was hit by another cyclist, fell and struck his head on pavement.
Don’t forget Selleck disobeying the high-mighty black mayor and being right after all.
In all other shows, Selleck would be the bad guy and the high-mighty affirmative action black man would be the hero.
Yup. I have 5 seasons of Magnum PI given to me years ago, and close-by where Donald Bellisario has a production office. Selleck is a known gun advocate, even on set, and it’s not a coincidence the family is known as Reagan.
The CSI NY producers invited Rush Limbaugh on set to visit, as Gary Sinise is a closet fan. Only 1 of the cast refused to have a pic taken with Rush and it’s the black dude of the cast, a lib.
So, direct insubordination carries no punishment because everything turned out alright.
I wonder if Selleck had any moral difficulty with that episode.
